Cause. Glitter has to have base coat. Glitter on top ... Just lack of layering knowledge. Look into automotive technics with flake and candy paints. And how to use correctly. Glitter gun. Yep. Or a folded piece of paper. Put a little glitter in its crease. Grab a drinking straw and blow the glitter into wet paint.
You should try Testers metallic spray paint (paint for model cars, planes, etc). It’s much more of an automotive style metallic finish with a lot of actual flakes in solid paint.

Yes!! Montana Glitter effect! One of my favourite cans actually. I use it quite frequently.... 'Pro' tip: use a hair dryer to save some time between applying coats. It dries a LOT quicker with some air movement and a bit of heat... The hair dryer is actually one of my most important tools when painting ;)
Nothing is forever.... except glitter.... don't believe me? Spill a tiny bit right now.... than when you're in your late 80's.... you'll find some of it stuck to your ass. Swear this is true!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love watching Doke because he does so much more than just spray graffiti. He does every other kind of paint process and makes it look so easy. A true artist
around 10 years ago i painted some graphics on cars etc with a lot of effectpaint like this duplicolor glitter and flip flop paints and most of this effectpaints need a black basecoat. so no wonder that the darker basecoat also on this one is better ;)

Pro tip: do the background, tape the canvas, scetch on the tape, cut the tape carefully with a sharp knife. work with high contrasts

Tropical glitz makes custom glitter paint that you can get in spray cans or pint or gallon it's automotive but that would a cool option to see
I reckon try spray a wall and while it’s wet just chuck glitter on it see if that works for an alternative would be interesting to see if it works
