The people saying EQ is OP don't understand that if EQ wasn't really an issue until Mirror got buffed, maybe MIRROR is just really strong, and amplifies other strong cards. EQ is a pretty balanced spell if you actually consider its weaknesses. It only hits ground troops, and can't hit floating troops like battle healer or royal ghost either. It only tickles troops, and can only kill low health troops like skeletons and goblins. It can't really be used to get good value unless it's being used to kill swarm and get tower damage, or destroy a building while getting tower damage. It's a good spell, don't get me wrong. But it's not BROKEN. EQ Mirror cycle is kinda broken, but that's because of the mirror buff.
Eq was already pretty broken even before the mirror buff. It was abused in nearly every top deck last season (namely aq hog deck). It's not like they killed the spell, they only nerfed the tower damage in response to eq being used as a win condition this season. It still does its job of destroying buildings just as well

Instead of always nerfing the Flair of the month Deck in 4 different ways they should buff weak cards to induce a more diverse meta.
I actually didn't know that the royal recruit can kill a skeleton from the other side through the river. It's makes sense because he has got a spear but the prince has got too and he needs to jump over the river to make a hit. ( If you want to watch the scene is between 7:20 and 7:28)
