their designs are insane
Excellent looking plugin! I will definitely be checking it out!
Thanks for your quick and easy review - all explaind well! thanks a lot!
Was talking to someone on another channel about this. His explanation was that we dont know why it sounds good, it just makes everything sound good. Nobody knows how it works (probably because its a company secret and I have to respect that) but we can all agree it does a solid job. I do wish there would be discount on it; $200+ is really steep
Well when you work with eqs and notice their flaws overtime . You will need other plugins to fix certain issues created on eq . That’s what bloom does which makes it pretty good
Great review as always, Marlon!
Thanks again!
Good and informative video as always. Thank you.
Thank you, great explanation. Love your no bullshit reviews.
Much appreciated!!
This Vst adapts to the current frequency to target the goal frequency tone . Also on the highs shown on oeksound the highs were increased and no artifacts were present like sibilance / harshness . It’s good for sure if you are really serious about music engineering
It basically kills everything that makes a song unique and special. It's the imperfections that often are the soul of a track. But with AI every mix will be more or less the same in future anyways
can u compare this to the other oek plugins. how is it different or similar. thx.
edit: appreciate the pro-q comparison.
Just out of curiosity, could you use Soothe first to remove harsh frequencies then use Bloom to sculpt the sound a bit or is that overkill?
yeah you can for sure. Soothe2 is resonance control and blom for overall shaping. I would adjust both to not overdo it.
What's the song in min 7 pls ?
looks nice, sounds nice...costs way to much. Like anything from Oeksound, would rather then choose fabfilter or sonnible. Oh and its pink (just would need a nice fluffy interface)
It’s steep sure, but I think this is realistically priced. I think most plugins are underpriced actually. Not that I mind cheap plugins but if you look at the amount of time and energy a plugin development costs, things should actually be higher priced in a lot of cases.
If I recall, they typically have a sizeable Easter sale sitewide. No idea if that would include a brand new plugin release, but it might still be worth keeping an eye on!
@@whitenoisestudio
Plugin developers make pure turn-over on every sale. Yes, they’re expensive to make… Once. Obviously, you have to make sure to keep on top of updates, marketing and the likes, but they’re not building a 19” rack mount and putting Bloom or Soothe inside it every time, they’re sending you a download code and making 100% profit on every sale. There are no reoccurring production costs with digital plugins… Once it is made, it’s made. Ergo, underpriced they are absolutely not. And ultimately, that rhetoric isn’t something which I want developers to ever think. The prices are getting ridiculous without people justifying them thank you, especially plugin RUclips creators with an audience
This is basically Gulfoss fused with soothe
Not quite. Gulfoss does some things with saturation and molds very much to “the sound of a waterfall” ;-) but yeah you should see it in that area for sure.
@@whitenoisestudionah, it's basically Gulfoss.
Nah ;-)
@@whitenoisestudio lol 🥂
It reminds me more of Clarity from Ozone, tbh nothing new.just a different approach
song around 7 minutes is awesome
Good video, good plugin. I like how people are expecting some sort of discount as if they are deserving & as if other companies regularly do the same.
Other companies have discounts
Really really good. And pricey ( I am sure it deserves that though )
I think it does yeah.
I own and enjoy Wavesfactory’s Equalizer. How is this different?
Same thing bt different quality
It has iLok XD
I've compared Equalizer with Bloom and I much prefer Equalizer. Equalizer is roughly half the price and, in my opinion, sounds at least twice as good! I spent a few hours dialing each one in to get the best from them.
I already have Gullfoss so I don't really feel the need to get this...
I need to compare those more in depth. Right now I find gulfoss never to be really transparent.
This takes the mud out of that Bass DI with ease. Crazy plugin.
Isn’t it similar to Gullfoss, Ozone Stabilizer and others?
Similar for sure.
This looks really useful. I hope the GUI has a choice of skins... I really don't like that pink!
I dont mind this pink, it fits their other plugins with their semi-pastel tints.
Gullfos eq , Teote,?
Yeah in that corner of the plugin world for sure.
I just ' had' to buy soothe2, not too sure about this one. I like it, but I think I can recreate it's effect with a small chain of already owned plugins ( including soothe 2 )
Which other plugins would you use? Thanks
Sonible's frei:raum for one.
Ozone clarity
Ozone Stabilizer
Gullfoss
So it’s better to just buy ozone 11 ? I already have ozone 10 advance
THIS PLUGIN CHANGED MY LIFE IN 15 MINUTES OF DEMO TIME. I genuinely am mindblown again by Oeksound...
This has bot account response all over it.
@@Taylor370z I promise I'm a human 🥺 I actually have been producing for like 12 years and it genuinely shook me that fast. Please believe me I'm begging you.
Yeah yeah Initials and all that. 🙄
"Oek" in Finnish translates to "OK" but in other languages to "Ouch" ...
Given their prices it kinda figures 💰💰💰
This plugin looks absolutely fabulous. Oeksound is in a golden era.
So I would say this is pretty much in natural adaptive EQ + OTT compressor. Might be pretty good for EDM
Yeah that sounds like a valid way to describe it. There's more to it ofcourse, but in essence..
This is the next plug I do not buy after Soothe. Too expensive. (I'm a developer myself who wants to eat and mortgage) ... and despite all convincing and luring review workx 🙂
209 though ^ no loyalty discount💀
Texte, Gullfoss, Stabiler in Ozone and Wavesfactory Equalizer. Gullfoss sounds like shit unfortunately. Equalizer is great but can be too hard sounding on some sources. This is maybe a perfect addition when needed.
Let’s keep it real here this is Gulffoss come on!
sorry
more low quality, just like the rest of them - sure, the less experience will disagree, this is because you didn't spend the time to develop skill
What did you change with your voice recording? Sounds horrible.
Nothing, same as usual. Doublecheck, sounds the same for me.
My voice is simply too sexy for you to handle.
This plugin is entirely unnecessary.
Why? Genuinely curious!
It’s a Gullfoss clone with extra features.
yeah for 200 lil steep
@@ToeShimmel Because for decades the music we love were mixed pristinely with the basics. Faders, Reverb, eq, compression, limiters and de essing. I have made great mixes with these and do not need this plugin to keep getting great mixes.
So is your opinion
Thanks for the review! I’m pretty disappointed to see all of these butt-hurt “fans” complaining about no loyalty intro price. I get it, it’s not a cheap plugin, but it’s also not insanely expensive. It’s something you buy once and then likely use forever on all sorts of things so it’s a worthy investment in that case IF you feel it’s a tool you need (maybe you don’t need it, but there’s a demo to find out!). I’ll be buying it immediately based on the reviews I’ve seen and how much I’ve benefitted from their other plugins. It’s a no brainer for me and I’m happy to support a small business that’s making my life a helluva lot easier!
Entitled outrage is a thing these days for sure.
I can say that every penny I spend on my soothe2 was worth it.
Overpriced and no discount for existing customers......This "review" sounded more like a paid product placement.
Thank you for questioning my integrity. I can guess where that “D” stands for.
@@whitenoisestudio hahahaha! Your so beautiful hermano. Ty for all you do.
one more expensive plugin we don't need which does the same thing as 100 others before!
I dare you to name 100 who do exactly the same.
