- A DIY video to help someone repair or replace their door actuator on their 2009-2012 Genesis. it is not endorsed by the dealership. There might be better ways, but this worked for me. I hope it helps someone out there.

Thanks alot, your video helped me a ton with my 2015. Did it last nihht, took me longer but saved myself alot of money. Was not a fan of the music but thats just my preference when doing tedious work. Anyway Thanks again, have a good day.

Very interesting video. My driver's door on 2011 Genesis was "replaced" following a hit while parked. The collision shop did the repair but now my door will not unlock! They are now saying that the motor has to be replaced. But why do I have a problem with getting the remote physical key to unlock the door? Isn't the manual door lock separate from the motor mechanism?

So few days ago my door locks and trunk won’t work from the key fob but can lock doors for the button on the door handle anyone have a clue on fixing the key fob to the doors and trunk

There's a contact in your fob that's losing continuity. Smack it up against something then try the buttons again. I'm currently experiencing the same.
What’s the acutator function?
The actuator is the mechanism that moves the door lock/unlock levers when the buttons are pushed. Some may call them the door lock motors.
Video was decent until around 6:50 where the music gets loud and I cant actually hear you anymore.

This looks like a pain in the butt. My actuator just went on my 2015 sedan
Once I had the actuator, the removal/install would take about an hour. I am not sure of all similarities between 2011 and 2015... was WAY cheaper than the dealership.
