The Rest Is History makes me SO happy! I bought Rubicon years ago and loved it so I knew who Tom was but if you read a lot of history you kind of assume all historians are kind of academic and stodgy and all the same. Dominic and Tom crack me up and they talk about history like how my friends and I might. Can't get enough of this podcast - keep it up guys!

This is, by some distance, my favorite podcast. I was thrilled to find it on RUclips, and yet I didn't enjoy watching it. This is to say nothing unpleasant about you as performers or people, but the density of information; changing alliances, 80 people named Henry and Edward, family trees, and a dozen other noble families and that's before including France! It's much easier when I'm only using one sense to process it all rather than two. But that's just one man's opinion, I'll follow just as loyally, but only by podcast.

There a nice bit to mention is John of Gaunt. Father of Henry IV but grandfather of the brilliant generation as known in Portugal. Their mother was Philippa of Lancaster, Queen of Portugal. It seems that John educated well his children as they shone in their times. The most significant grandchild is Henry the Navigator who organised and programmed the discoveries. A bit like going to Mars in Medieval times.

Rixhard II and Henry IV are basically Harvey Dent quote: "You die a hero or live long long enough to see yourself become the villain". While he was alive, King Dick the Second was seen as a tyrant but as soon as he died, suddenly gets a cult of personality and praised as a saint, with Henry IV becoming tyrant and regicide.

Your series on the Pelasgians is amazing. It is unique on RUclips because you are the only one putting the pieces of the puzzle together and making connections. The only thing I would disagree on is the digamma F. Digamma simply means a double gamma γγ which would be pronounced as a g in English. The description given of the Pelasgian is a gamma with a triangle on top.

Henry Bolingbroke's take over is no less important than Henry (7th) Tudor's defeat of Richard 3rd. The legitimaticy of a King is based in n his ability to take and hang on to the throne. Possession is 9/10ths of the law.

Great stuff! Never knew about this part of English history. My curiosity was raised given I visited Alnwick recently. You are doing great service given how poorly the English education system teaches history. I am not surprised by Shakespeare given he lived during Elizabeth 1st and James 6th and 1st. I would suggest you give a view from the Welsh and scot side once you done with the main theme. It will give a good 360 view. I guess you wil be trotting off to talk about Prince Hal as Henry V. Take your time. The war with the Percy is something I was not aware until recently.
