I think you'll like them. I had been in Speedgoats and was getting ankle rolls. Could have been my strength also, but I tried many shoes and found these to be the most comfortable while also locking me in the heal. Glad that they made the change to Vibram this year as they tend to last longer with better grip. I needed to go up one in size with these. I wore an 11 in Speedgoat and now a 12 in the Ultra 100.
They are less plush. A lot less. The grip is superb but the previous Ultra 100 had more cushioning and was still better suited for long races. This one is better for short races. So right now Dynafit is lacking a well-cushioned ultra shoe, unfortunately...
