I always thought Absolution was mixed pretty damn well. But what do I know?! It is 18 years old now and I haven't listened to it in a while. Yes, go for it Muse. Give it the remix treatment!
@@leod-sigefast I don't know, I'm no expert either, but some tracks like Time Is Running Out have pretty wonky sounding drum mixes and things like that. I mean, if it's not a ton of work for the boys, I'm sure it would sell well like this album probably is. Seems like a win win!
@@leod-sigefast Absolution is mixed greatly, but I thought songs like space dementia and futurism were too. The new versions are vastly superior though. So if they could improve Absolution like this I would be through the roof.
They remove the panning effect during Matt's final guitar solo in "Micro Cuts" so they can put it here! 😅😅😅
Jokes aside, "Futurism" is one of, if not the most improved record after this remix treatment. So balanced and clear, whilst still maintaining those high-distortion sounds 🤘🤘🤘

From what Matt told in 2019/early 2020 was about making something like "their roots" but not sure if he is talking about his solo career or Muse, even bought the guitar from Jeff Buckley one of his major inspirations in the era of 1994/1999

@@paddington2063 They've only played the song 6 times and none of them were in Toronto. You might be thinking of one of their drum and bass jams which samples the song

I can't believe I've literally cried to all the songs, like screaming at them. Fucking geniuses, I owe them my entire life and happiness.
I think this is the best Remixx out of all the songs. The instruments are so much clearer, they added the traveling between ears affect with the vocals that sound AMAZING by the way. I'm so happy they did this, the mixing is awesome
This song almost serves as a gateway to Absolution album.. listen to how his voice has changed, and the melodies.. more Absolution than Origins, or a cross between the two at the very least!

2:50 makes me feel so strange, the effect on headphones is so weird but so good.
Tremolo effect. It rapidly cuts the signal and then turns it back on to get a nice swooshy effect.

If you want the boring answer, they just bass boosted the song to high hell, and brought out the higher frequencies as well making it more tinny sounding.

Sounds awesome! Interesting decision making the bass a lot more mid focused and cutting a lot of lower frequency and making the kick the lowest point frequency wise.

Renegade came out in 2002 and I believe this song in 2001 time or slightly earlier?
However I believe the Renegade soundtrack took some of its riffs and samples from the 1995 game Command and Conquer, so I will see if that riff is in the 1995 game.
