  • Short video demonstrating some techniques used when airbrushing rivets and distressed metal on a Triumph Speed Triple. Paint used is from the Auto Air line. Still a work in progress and will post new updates after the parts have been re-cleared.
    Music by the incredibly talented Amycanbe, check out her other tunes...

    Hi Teoxtube, and thanks for the comments. The bike was first painted in a Fiat orange with silver base (solvent) then flatted. Masked up then, painted with alu (fine) and autoborne black with a drop of alu fine for the pinstripes and heavily reduced mix for the random aged markings. Rust is AA trans root beer and/or AA trans red oxide. Shadows beneath some of the 'rips' are either trans purple or trans blue violet-can't remember exactly, just try it out to see what looks best on your project.

    How did you create the “torn effect” with the tape?

    • @r0dd13
      @r0dd13  6 лет назад

      I covered the body work with 3M masking tape and lightly drew out where I'd like the rips to be with a sharpie. I then carefully cut though the masking tape with a scalpel taking care not to cut into the paintwork/bodywork below. Gets easier with practice.

      I hardly think that someone who posts links to Pantera is qualified to make that call, have a nice day!
