@@eggcartonman3804 I’ve always found the printing is very good apart from the faces. Faces are weird but everything else looks exactly the same
@@BallisticBricks42 thank you I ordered the lion knights castle and town square recently and I’d be fine switching the faces out if everything else is ok

got the Orient Express and it is great, Lego has real problems printing straight on the curves around the engine, but not the knock off, this has straight printing so good I was stunned, actually better than lego for 40 quid.
Wow that’s crazy. Really need a train eventually for the city, but keep delaying it as I prioritise over things for the city, but maybe it’s time to have a more concentrated look in. Thanks for watching!!
I just made my 1st AliExpress fake lego modular purchase a few days ago and it was the detectives office. I am so excited to get it and see how it turns out. Can't wait to see your city come together

In the last two months I have ordered the police station, the bookstore and the brick bank from Aliexpress. Cheap, well packaged, good brick quality and good instructions and never a part was missing! Price approx. EUR 70-75,-- per model. It's a great alternative to the Lego models, as they just stand around anyway and don't get played with in my house. Only the figures are sometimes better and sometimes worse (prints and movement of the arms/legs), but they can be replaced cheaply. I will certainly order more models ;-)

What store did you buy the police station for, it’s my favorite modular and I’m looking for a cheaper way to get it
@@dinkusgames Unfortunately, the store went out of business a few weeks ago. But if you search for "Lego Modular Buildings", you'll find plenty of suppliers. I have now ordered from various suppliers. My conclusion: The Brick quality is very good everywhere, the figures are better or worse depending on the year of release of the Buidling. e.g. police, boutique hotel and jazz club are great, brick bank or the detective agency are rather bad (the classic Lego faces are printed too big, I swapped them for original Lego heads, I couldn't look at them. haha
Those minifigures will haunt my dreams...
I just picked up a used lego version of this for $240 that was only missing the mirror, which I found for $2.

That’s pretty decent. The minifigures are pretty bad, but it’s only the faces so I might just buy new heads. I’m happy for the fake product for a fraction of the price.
This is what I hate about Lego. An EOL product will never come back.
I am happy with the fake corner garage. It mitght not be popular but I really like the corner style, I put some Cobi cars in front of it
I recently bought the grocery store from AliExpress and I'm very pleased with it. But regarding the bent baseplate, why don't you MILS plate it? That's what I did.
The heads bothered me initially after I got the Parisian Restaurant but I must admit that they’ve grown on me. They are endearing in a creepy way.

I just built the Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters. One of the baseplates had a slight bend, which I sorted out by heating it over the gas hob. Then p, when the two baseplates joined together, they were bent as a donkeys hind leg, then flattened out completely once I started building after applying all the tiles!
My biggest gripe was that none of the 50+ bags were numbered… it was a nightmare! Thank god for all my empty ice cream containers and litre size yoghurt pots 😂
Your Detectives Office is superb! And it’s just like the LEGO original. There’s an alleyway in the Green Grocer set which takes you to the stairs to the upper levels and mail boxes.
I have the LEGO version of the detectives office, thankfully I purchased it when it was still available through LEGO!
As I’ve said previously. I feel no guilt with buying these knock-off versions of retired sets. I can’t afford the retired sets so these are a good alternative!
Next for me is the Monster Hunters haunted house, also from AliExpress…

I would say this. Look real close before opening all the bags. I bought ninjago city gardens and thought there wasn’t numbers on the bags. About halfway through emptying all the bags and separating I saw the tiny numbers on the bags.

Mine has over 80 small bags and they are numbered but don't seem to correspond with the steps . I've got a lot of sorting to do 🤬
Well done on the step up in your video quality, I really appreciate things like that. I'm really tempted to get this set, even though I am not a Modular collector normally, a lot of people love it and I can see why.
I built a different Ali Express set a couple of weeks ago, and it came with a bag of 'extra' pieces, which I think were the ones that were most likely to be missing from the other bags. They anticipated the possibility that their packing might be incomplete. I like that. Also the final build itself was fantastic.

Honestly I’m not sure. I’d think so, but I can’t find any information about them to know for sure
Ha! I’m building an Ali Express Detective Office right now, probably from the same site ($10-20 cheaper than others, no reviews)! My base plate was dorked up pretty badly, so I decided to use a LEGO one. Otherwise, so far the build has been fine, though it feels like the quality is somehow slightly inferior to the Diner I built last month.
I often use a real Lego baseplate when I need too. It’s annoying but it makes it a perfect build because the bricks are normally all great
I have bout several sets from alie express and the base plates are a constant issue. But it is something I can deal with due to it being so much cheaper. If it’s real bad I’ll just buy a new baseplate.
Yeah that’s pretty much my plan. I find I need a real one for corner builds but for the normal Modular’s I can get away with the one supplied

Aliexpress is good. Temu is shady, too many a time a deals then poof it’s gone a few hours later
Yeah Temu have some weird deals. I got sucked into a spend £10 and get £250, did it and then it came in vouchers separately like ‘£10 off with purchases over £150’ and stuff like that. That deal also went after a day so couldn’t even use it for future purchases😂
Who makes the fake lego? Midnight production at the China factory?

Some of them have came in a box for me in the past but the bag doesn’t normally have any negative effect
I have gotten boxes off Temu and Aliexpress for unique brick designs. But if it's a knockoff of a LEGO set they tend not to send a box to avoid the inspectors

if I wasn't watching this video and I see this brick modular I would know this modular isn't a Legos just looking at it. I see better cheaper Lego sets
Cheaper alternatives can be a lot better!
Imagine buying the Eiffel tower set and paying $80 and then you get a box with +10,000 pieces without any errors. You build it and realize that you didn't miss any pieces and all the bags were numbered. It's a good deal.

Awesome as always. I had my 2 come through today. At a quick glance not too bad. Other than 1 of the baseplates rubbish. Got the daily bugle and sanctum. Will send unpics if on Instagram
