I'll tell you my point of view: 1) it doesn't need an amp if you play in a small pub 2) not bulky 3) warm and enveloping sound 4) it has a cool style. I heard it for the first time at a concert with 3 guys, one with an acoustic guitar and voice, a woody percussion in birch and some other little percussion and this acoustic bass. I tell you they rocked

Acoustic bass are tough to play, especially with fast riff like this
