Bonus, Blade Wolf: Raiju, the lighting hound. Khamsin: a foreigner piloting a steampunk mech that he’s trying to sell to either the shogunate or the yokai, constantly rants about Manifest Destiny.

I would play the crap out of a game that's similar to MGR (high paced action with rock/metal music in the background) set in feudal Japan against yokai possessed warriors.
It's interesting how when the video is focusing on Sam the song is in Japanese however when Raiden is the focus the song is in English which I think is an interesting touch.

The connection to Raiden's Raiju side is what convinced Blade Wolf to join Raiden Mistral: The child of a human woman and a Tako Nyudo, granting her several octopus tentacles Monsoon: Is an experiment of the current yokai ruler, a Wanyudo who had their head transplanted onto a body. This granted Monsoon full control over the body to the extent it can detach without harming him as his head is his true body Sundowner: An Oni who uses magic to control parts of the armour he is wearing to use it as a shield, his armour giving him a samurai aesthetic. Jetstream Sam: A human who was taught how to swordfight by Tengu. When he was employed by the Yokai Army he was granted the Murasama blade which was actually Muramasa's Juuchi Yosamu and slowly corrupted him over time due to being fully human Armstrong: The current Yokai Ruler. Shuten Doji, a massive hulking Oni who is also noted to be extremely intelligent. He's made some surprising advancements with the Yokai under his command. Even being the one overseeing Monsoon's creation and helped develop a gigantic Tsuchigumo that he could fuse with and control.
You know, I kinda want somebody to make a whole story in this AU. The idea of the cyborgs and such being redone as humans with yokai powers is awesome, and would make for some bitchin' visuals (as seen in this MV).
I figure this version of Sam runs a variation of Shishio Makoto's blade from Rurouni Kenshin. A saw like blade that ignites oil with a spark. Possibly assisted by a flint coated sheath.

" Some badass shogun sundowner would be so cool. I know sundowner is a bit of a punching bag when it come to the goofy aspects of the game, at least he is to me.. Some of those lines are just gold, but he could be super fucking badass. OH, and, plus, the Rising (Red) Sun aesthetic.
Lets appreciate the fact the apart from the yokai arm sam is going toe to toe against a fully corrupt jack as a normal samurai even normal mgr sam had to use an body enhancement suit to go toe to toe with a fully cyborged jack
