Unfair as it is, there’s something very satisfying about CL literally perfectly taking up half the entire lines here. She literally had a perfect half slice of the pie at the end!

Fact: CL heard the demo of this song upon joining YG and waited for five years in the hopes she could make it hers (that was around early 2007). AITB's title was supposed to be 'Satisfy Me'. CL heard the faint skeleton of the demo in YG studio but since she hadn't made it big yet that time (she was supposed to debut as a solo and even got featured as solo artist), she was not given the permission to record it. She even shared that another artist tried to record the song but she found a way to snatch it back. She said she was so bummed when they (YG) tried to take the song away from her so she started fighting for it. She recalled how she got the hook but not the verses but she insisted to use the demo. The demo was then restructured to have verses for each of 2NE1 members and they gave it a new name...'I AM THE BEST'. Point is...don't be mad if CL got the most lines here (which are mostly adlibs). Apart from being the only one who fought for the song, she had to rush its completion (satisfied that they created solid verses for each members and the rest were adlibs) so they can finally release it as their own song (like before other artist can snatch it again). She solely rely on the hook because that's what got her attention from the start, and the verses were just created to fill the gaps and fit the group.
