With an expectation of ray of hope we will wait for the action which have not been initiated in last 60 years of independence by the Government of India.
After 60-70 year of independence you are now realizing how people of NE have been neglected. Yes it is first coverage by a national media. Does not that raise a question of how national media treats the North East. Would Zee TV have come if Kiran Riju had not taken them for a ride. I am waiting for the day when Zee TV will make exclusive story travelling on its own in the manner the villagers travel. Only then will the reporter understand the real problem.

I come from Arunachal paradesh and India has never focused on potential of North East we don't look like or even culturally like main parts of India, still we have sense of patriotism and we say we are Indians unlike kashmiris. But in return Indian government should pay attention to us. Still in kibithu there is no electricity no roads. U can't keep your citizens in trouble and expect good from them, still we Arunachalis never complained and never had thought of going with China.

I am from arunachal Pradesh and I want to share that arunachal was never under china or india (although NOW it belongs to india). the state was ruled by local chief or head of village through democratic process. decisions were taken when majority do favor. the people or villages of the state were never under Tibetan ruler, as Tibetan rules were never followed by people and revenues were never collected by the king. in fact Tibetan army never tried to cross the border. according to elders, they used to trade with Tibetan people and army. india is like foster mother who adopted arunachal. as like every child, he/she would always love the one who gave him/her a home, not only to live but to laugh, love, play and all. so, now it is easy to know that to whom arunachal Pradesh belongs to.

The entire seven sister states should have been a sovereign country. The religion, race, culture, language is different from mainland India. Nothing in common. At least the Arunachalis speak hindi. I have been 20 years in north america. The gujus have their own gathering; the punjabis have their own community get together; the bengalis, the assamese, the south inidans, the north easterners have their own get together. Even during 15 august there is no unity among different states. If a bihari is harmed outside india, then only bihari community will react. The same reaction from the other states. But if you harm one US citizen anywhere in the world, the US people and govt. will react. The reality is i have more pakistani friends than indians. Why? because they take me for what i am as a person. But an indian will immediately behave in condescending manner when I tell them I am from north east and look like mongolian. When I speak broken urdu with pakistani friends they never laugh, they talk back in urdu and praise me. Whenever I talk in hindi to Indians at work, or at the indian grovery shop or restaurant, they will always speak back in english. very hurtful and makes me hate them more. 100 years from now and a north eastern boy or girl will still get harassed outside the north east. Sad reality. Like the saying goes - "you will find indians only in indian army, indian navy and indian airforce".

The entire seven sister states should have been a sovereign country. The religion, race, culture, language is different from mainland India. Nothing in common. At least the Arunachalis speak hindi. I have been 20 years in north america. The gujus have their own gathering; the punjabis have their own community get together; the bengalis, the assamese, the south inidans, the north easterners have their own get together. Even during 15 august there is no unity among different states. If a bihari is harmed outside india, then only bihari community will react. The same reaction from the other states. But if you harm one US citizen anywhere in the world, the US people and govt. will react. The reality is i have more pakistani friends than indians. Why? because they take me for what i am as a person. But an indian will immediately behave in condescending manner when I tell them I am from north east and look like mongolian. When I speak broken urdu with pakistani friends they never laugh, they talk back in urdu and praise me. Whenever I talk in hindi to Indians at work, or at the indian grovery shop or restaurant, they will always speak back in english. very hurtful and makes me hate them more. 100 years from now and a north eastern boy or girl will still get harassed outside the north east. Sad reality. Like the saying goes - "you will find indians only in indian army, indian navy and indian airforce".

Arunachal and Himachal Pradesh are China mainland area according to 1962 war treaty.
@gromit- That's the beauty of india, unity is diversity, you are an indian, you still can be a bihari, punjabi, south indian, north indian, you still can follow your own culture,speak own language, just coz your culture is different from fellow indians, you don't need separate country for that, running a country not that much easy as you think, regarding small issues, no country in the world is perfect, every country have their own problems, all need to sit and solve it, no need of multiple small countries that won't sustain in modern militarized world
all these days due to poor connectivity north, south,central indians not interacted much with NE indians, thatswhy everyone gets confused, but due to improving infrastructure, in next 10years every indian can recognize another indian

The sad thing is the same people (tribe) on the other side of the border is enjoying far better facilities in life. Better education, lifestyle and no racial discrimination. whereas on these side of the border we are only kept as buffer zone and media constant brainwashing of evil china, "china is bad etc. tibetan are deprived in china etc." Whereas the on real ground tibet is far far developed than all northeastern india combined despite having rough terrain.
The only time we get importance is when china claim on our state.
