We Were SHOCKED by these Places in New Delhi, India! 🇮🇳

Delhi is a city of incredible contrast, from the frantic and busy streets of Chandni Chowk to the slightly more relaxed Hauz Khas village in New Delhi. Our last video took us through the streets of Old Delhi, including the busy streets of the spice market, as well as some incredible street food. This video video covers a small part of gigantic South Delhi to sites that were recommended to us by locals. First, we visited Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world and one of the most popular landmarks in all of India. The monument is quite impressive, as are the remaining Hindu and Islamic ruins surrounding it. The complex was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993.
We also visited the Hauz Khas village and Hauz Khas complex, housing a mosque, an Islamic seminary, a tomb, and pavilions dating back to the 13th century. In the 1980s, the area surrounding the complex was developed into a relatively pricey upper class residential and commercial area in South Delhi. The area now has somewhat upscale restaurants, shops, and art galleries to enjoy.
Project 2020 (our travel vlog series) is unfortunately suspended for the foreseeable future! Our creative spirits are alive and well, so subscribe for ongoing content and please, stay safe!

Happy to see you guys again after a while. Yes, Delhi has millennia old history going as far back as Mahabharat times when it was called Indraprastha. Yes, that 10fold increase in the visitor fees is inexplicable..the handiwork of s warped mindset in our Tourism Department!
It was still worth the visit! Delhi is a beautiful city
It is expensive for foreigners, but if you think about it, a foreigner working in India in an MNC or Manufacturing, generally earns quite a lot than an average Indian for the same work. I don't know how the world economics work for stuff like these, but if that's the case, it make sense for the increase in visitor fees.
There is a iron pillar at qutub minar site and that pillar is metallurgical marvel of ancient India (2000 year old ) and it has not rusted .those are indian squirrel not chipmunk. Good to see you tried south Delhi ,most tourist only visit old delhi and thus have impression that entire india is like that
We got a picture of that iron pillar beside the minaret 😊
that is ashoka pillar
Rich & Kirsten I like u both 😊 & i hope u will come back to INDIA once Corona Virus (Covid 19) will go. I appreciate when u speak at the end because i thought u have to cut & retake again 😂 but nice work dude 👍 LOTS OF LOVE 😘💕

@@RichandKirsten Definitely come again & entertain us 🙂 1.38 Billion peoples of INDIA will wait for u 💝
Correct me if m wrong this looks incredibly more beautiful in person being Indian I was lucky enough to experience it quite a few times and each time I find it out of this world 💕
you're a beautiful & cool couple, pls do visit India after this crisis. Much love!
We will be back as soon as we can!
@@RichandKirsten Do visit other parts of India too...like the south and northeast....every state is like a different country here...😅😊
Actually the tower was not REconstructed 3 times... It was constructed in 3 phases each showing different colors and by 3 different kings!
These intricate designs are so beautiful and your amazing shots have done justice to them!
Your smiles all the way suggest that the Hauz Khas trip was quite a fun. ☺️
_I guess it's third or fourth time I am saying this - Why your vlogs end!_ ❣️❣️❣️
The whole trip was really fun! Missing it right now in isolation, that’s for sure!
@@RichandKirsten Locals usually don't face such unsolicited schemes floating at Qutub Minar 📸, definitely would have told you about it _srry_ . Hope they didn't rip you off!
Rich your Hindi _bohot accha_ and it is definitely becoming the USP of your India series. It gives such a warm and local feeling. 🤗 Such things get appreciated everywhere. Also, I guess India's _crowded and secluded_ contrasts are keeping you amazed! 😝😆😅
Your vlogs just deserve Million Views and your channel really deserves first 100K Subscribers 👏😊
Nice videos all Indian foods taste and visit Delhi and kutumb minar..please yours will back india and travel Gujrat and Rajasthan many many heritage sites.
We will be back for India as soon as we can!

Thank you the kind words! We are still committed to visiting India for 6 more weeks once it is safe to travel again... we really want to see as much of the country as we can!
Kewl video. Come soon back. Blessed couple you both. We will surely meet in India
Hii the minar (qutub minar ) you saw in Delhi was actually made from pillars of at least 24 Hindu temples which was destroyed by the same man qutub uddin aibec( an Islamic invader) who used the remains of a temple to built an Islamic structure . If u notice. You will find destroyed pictures of Hindu gods Whenever I see qutub minar it hurts me as a hindu.

So sorry for inconvenience you experienced. our country is a developing nation and we are in the midst of huge transformation. Hope we'll improve.
Your country is very beautiful, we had no issues handling anything and found the Indian people to be incredibly helpful
I can't wait to see you guys back in my country.
Nice explanation.
So glad to see you guys in India.
We can’t wait to come back when this is all done!
@@RichandKirsten hope this pandemic stop.
uber is the best, it's standardized around the world so pretty damn painless... the Qutub Minar looks absolutely gorgeous, I hope to see it someday!
Thank you, for giving me a trip down memory lane. And make me drool, in the (other) Chandi Chowk street food video. Even my wife recalled being there, back in 1988. Her first time in India, in summer, got heatstroke. Surprise?
Lived near Deer Park, AND have pics (the ones on ACTUAL film😨) of my wife IN those ruins you were in, from those days. 😏
Good choice of shop, for buying quality attire (next video). 😆 BTW, they have Holi "raves" in the US too, minus the "bhang" (ganja beverage).
Maybe, it's time I went back. Considering the "situation" here, with Orangevirus-45!
Capiche? 🕵
Amazing comment - there is too much to respond to everything... Delhi is a really beautiful city, everyone was very kind to us and were really excited to go back when “the situation” is under control
Great video. happy to watch you enjoying .which country are you from?
We’re from Canada
Your photography is very nice.Particularly the photos u took beside archeological sites....Come after Corona is over

Waw sooo Cool
Good job 👍✌PEACE ✌
Now that's whom I call wise Tourist.
We did our homework 😏
Loved that squirrel shot. 👍
They're so cute :)
2:54 4:54 5:08 This is hindu architecture
Qutub minar was built over by destroying 27 jain/hindi temples.
Yea go build another temple then... idiot unnecessary point everywhere..
@@suchitaguria7157 what's wrong with you if he is telling truth ,
Yes it was a hindu temple ,and you can see all pillers remains are hindu architecture.
Now, the world can be a nasty crazy place out there, we need a lot of courage and we need a lot of resilience after that, and we will fall down before we stand up… What really matters is the silence of the night in our conscience, when we are alone. We cannot control what happens but we can use what happens. We have so much reserves of love and support inside us, if we can just remember that in our mind and move on.
Nice video guys
Thanks Erick! Glad you enjoyed 🙏
15K views and only 800 likes !come on guys. Give them their dues
Nice Video
What type of camera you guys are using??

Red Fort?
Come to KOLKATA BENGAL
I guess you have missed the ashok stambh, the iron pillar near kutub minar which is staying as it is there without getting any rust for more than 2000 years. It tells more information of our history than kutub minar.
its just the history you like to tell. Qutub minar, red fort, taj mahal and more are also history of India
@@atifkhanthegreat yeah and also all other temples , monuments and relics. The most ancient ones are at least 8000 years old found out in Haddappa and Mohenjdaro. It tells the profound history of our civilisation and culture.
Good video
Nice video
Hey guys upload your holi celebration video.
Hi beautiful video
Thank you 🙏 😊
Real name of qutub minar is dhruv stambh
Rich looks like an Australian cricketer
You will find thousands of temples, mosques, monuments, structures all over india, plz visit next time.
Sadly our trip got cut short, but hopefully we can visit again soon!
Hii lovely couple..plz come to bombay..
did she feel safe? from delhi living eu
Most of the time yes!
Cute couples nice video 👍👍👍
Use Uber and Ola to travel in India. Do not use freelance taxis, rickshaw or tuk tuk.
And people say Muslims are not recognised and not well treaded in India🤦😔
The Hindi is on point. How?
Practice 😀
Great. That's amazing
Avoid evaluating everything in terms of money. Second lesson...let go of money..in relation to what comes to you.....
Your blog show something new things
Thanks! We try our best 😄
You must visit to 4000 years old Ajintha- Verul Caves in Aurangabad...
You are looking beautiful dear🤤🤤
This is a Hindu Vishnu temple which was destroyed by Mughal empire .

every thing was hindu temple according to jealous ignorant fools. people are making contradictory stories, at least get together and decider what lies you want to spread because it exposes your lies
1 correction, these are hindu structure or Islamic structures are just build over
Do visit akshardham temple in delhi
We hope to come back and see more of the incredible Delhi!
that not ancient or historic monument
Oops, I think your trip is damaged because of Virus, Do visit once again after things get normal.
Sadly it was, we left India on March 12 and we are home now
Good decision, stay safe.
Rs 300 each is bit more for foreigners..Govt. should rethink on this..Hope u guys enjoyed ur stay here..#Stay safe#Stay at home😎😄😄
It was only Rs 40 I believe for locals... oh well hopefully the money goes to good use!
their purchasing power is also more dude
Very few foreigners come in India that's why price is higher for foreigners
It's not really islamic. It was a jain-hindu temple complex , the original name of the tower is Vishnu stambh (tower of Vishnu), islamic invaders attacked delhi and won , so they destroyed temple and renamed the complex to quuwat-ul-islam mosque.
Such forced occupation of hindu temple sites is very common story here in India.
🤣🤣😜😜
Who told you? Savarkar??
@@ahmedsufiyan20 naah , a child rapist prophet. i think you already know him.
Pls contact me
Next time ,delhi
Actually these were hindu astronomical observation site . Mugal invaders broken some and modified some .
If you want to see real architecture then visit hindu tamples and fiets in south india . Like kailash temple and many more ...
i guess if they are in Delhi, they only could see delhi monuments
फालतू में हॉर्न मत बजाया करो दोस्तों
Gonna be honest, south india is way better than north india in its architecture and south india has no scammers roaming around everywhere which makes the trip much much better
We had south India on our itinerary, sadly it got cut short!
You enjoyed the place alot but you are not sure if money paid is used for restoring...what was that? 😂
Come to KOLKATA BENGAL
