I really enjoy how Kirby can change from being pink to a different color depending on his Copy Abilities instead of just staying pink.
I really wish they brought that back to the games
Yeah, or at least bring back the paint buckets from Squeak Squad. But I’d prefer color changes depending on Copy Abilities.

I love how Kirby reacts to the copy abilities. Sometimes he's confused, sometimes he's happy, sometimes he knows what's supposed to happen but it's just not happening! It's so cute, and I adore him so much
Oh yeah, it's a nice touch to the transformation sequences. While you can see a little bit of stock footage in the whole sequence, each one is unique otherwise. Given the time when this was made, it's proof that Kirby Right Back at Ya was a labour of love.

I wish the award winning abilities were in the actual Kirby games. At least Water is in a game now. Two in fact not counting spin-offs.
I guess Metal is close to iron
And Kabuki Kirby being in Mass Attack as a cameo attack.
Staff is close to Baton a bit.
I really love that Kabuki transformation where Kirby turns into a Kabuki warrior, but it turns out to be an illusion!

You know this would be cool if Nintendo and HAL did do a Sequel/Reboot for Kirby Right Back At Ya for Kirby's 30th Anniversary cause it would be cool seeing Tiff, Tuff, and Escargoon's reactions when they meet the new Kirby Characters coming to the Kirby Anime like Marx, Magolor, Taranza, Susie, The Three Mage Sisters, Adeleine, Ribbon, Bandana Waddle Dee, Elfilin, and Clawroline and then we would hear what their voice actors would be in the English Dub version of it cause that would be cool if they did that for Kirby's 30th Anniversary you know and also making pushies of Tiff, Tuff, and Escargoon cause that would also be cool if they did that too
Well, they'll be releasing a Blu-Ray version of the anime in Japan this winter.

@@connorj1165 They can’t make another show with the same characters because they don’t own the license to do it, and, in my opinion, i think it is useless to make an anime about Kirby today. It already exists, it doesn’t make sense.
@@jejekk Well I think they should make another one for Kirby Right Back At Ya and they should add the original characters in it like Tiff, Tuff, Escargoon, Sir Ebrum, Lady Like, and the Cappy Citizens and also adding new characters in it and also maybe they could do an episode where the Cappy citizens wear mushrooms on their head just like the Cappies from the games that would be funny but yeah I know it is going to happen because it is
@@connorj1165 I just said that they can’t put characters like Tiff or Escargoon because they don’t own the licens on them. An example, the ost “Strong Star Warrior” from the show (Checker Knight in Kirby Air Ride), has been removed from Super Smash Bros Brawl because Nintendo has had issues with the licens of Kirby Right Back At Ya and has been forced to remove it in the next games. (Sorry for my bad english, i’m italian)
Never knew Makiko Ohmoto could retain her voice role as Kirby
She's voiced him since Smash 64 in 1999.
Until the GBA games and Squeak Squad took away Kirby’s voice. Super Star Ultra briefly brought it back (sort of, with the Mike ability’s second shout sounding vaguely similar).
Return to Dream Land (if one doesn’t count spinoffs or Smash Bros.) was the first game to bring Kirby’s voice back.

It's weird how the mirror copy ability was in the anime but not the far more common (at least in the games) beam copy ability
It's probably because waddle doo doesn't have powers in the anime
@@domeko_377 they could've had a monster with a magic staff to shoot beams of energy, plenty of the monsters weren't in the games after all, such as the windmill monster that gave kirby the mirror ability

I like how some of the Copy Abilities change Kirby's color unlike the games (and no the water one in Kirby GCN's trailer doesn't count) and the fact that most of the animations are cute

I love how fire is the ability that is used the most out of them.
Every ability except iron has been in the game, 2 of them not actually but almost identical:
Baton ---> Staff
Top ---> Yoyo
At first, I thought the video footage was really high-quality, and then I figured out it was AI upscaled. It wasn't entirely necessary of you to upscale it but we appreciate it anyway.

This anime is notable for establishing many of the Copy Ability looks and hats that would be used throughout the series (alongside Nightmare in Dream Land and Amazing Mirror, while it wasn’t until Super Star Ultra where the games further solidified the appearances and hats, though Crash and Mike aren’t given hats until Return to Dream Land, replacing the horned one, possibly to differentiate from the Stone and Ninja hats. The last game WITHOUT Copy Ability hats at all was Kirby 64)

Y'know, I just realized this Midway in the video. The Meta Knight Sword ability has appeared 3 times in Kirby media. 1st in Right Back At Ya, 2nd in Amazing Mirror as the Master ability, & 3rd in Forgotten Land as the Meta Knight Ability.

This is High Quality except for the usual music in the Dub Right Back at Ya. Thank you for the Hight Quality, RetroArchive. I wish they would use these transformations of a Kirby in the games. Starting with Return to Dreamland and the Super Abilities all the the way to Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

May Ninja, paint, wing and throw Kirby go down in history as the least used copy ability only being in ONE episode and I don’t count the ones used in fight to the finish they were just Kirby’s dream
Is there any possible way to watch the show again, I've been searching for a very long time and I'm at the verge of giving up, I just wish I could re-experience my childhood..

Man, these clips are pris-tine! I'd very much like to know where/how you got these. The best I could find for a lot of these were crummy 480 or 360ps.
You can find raw footage of the Japanese episodes and then it looks like they were upscaled. This definitely isn't the Blu Ray release though.
My favorite copy ability is seeing kirby as jet kirby.

I actually like the music selection for the sub version, because they are ripped directly from Kirby Air Ride. Songs like Kirby Melee and Checker Knights.
They aren’t ripped. They were made for the anime. Kirby Melee in particular is a remix of the anime’s main theme.

I honestly don't like the transformation sequence they went with for Bomb Kirby. Here's what I would have done instead:
After the cool rapid flipping thing, the hat sprouts onto Kirby's head, then a bomb falls into his hands. Kirby freaks out, his little legs flailing about, and he chucks it into the background, where the bomb explodes. Kirby breathes a sigh of relief, then catches another bomb, this one not lit, and poses.

Yo-Yo was first. Super Star released on the SNES years before the anime.

Actually, he usually inhaled things that the enemy used. He inhaled King Dedede's Hammer, an actual Wheel, a *bunch* of Water, sharp objects (which resulted in Sword, Cutter, or some other ability), and Mirror was gained after he inhaled a reflective projectile from an enemy.
It's been awhile, so idk how he got most of the others.
