Cut your vegetables on the kitchen counter it's much easier . Look at a cooking video on how to cut vegetables...lol I used to cut my veggies the same way years & years ago.
Boiling the conch depends on where you bought it. What I mean is, Some meat shops tenderizes the conch for you. If thats the case then the boiling time will be different. The key is to check it for tenderness periodically. About 30mins to start then keep checking to see if you like the level of tenderness.
I'm going to deduct points from what is an awesome dish, for the Sideways Camera Footage. That aside how long do you really cook the Conch generally to get it tender? Because Conch can be tough if not cooked well. Don't ever cook Conch enough to ever really know and then again its damn hard to find to buy. But i know an awesome dish when i see it and THIS IS IT. That Soup is packed with flavor ingredients. What could have been added to the dish was some Coconut Milk to cream it up and enhance the dish even more. And for me, what i would have added a little bit of some All Spice, Cloves, Thyme (Love me always), Coconut Milk and maybe a little Turmeric to enhance the color a bit. Would also burst that Scotch Bennet pepper since my tolerance for heat is quite high lol. But make no mistake I think that dish is Da Bomb! And it went on my must make list. I can tell making that was a whole lot of fun running the boat in that kitchen on this dish.
Ardent Dfender The conch can be tenderized wherever you get it to buy. But I cook it for at least half hour before adding other ingredients to the pot. This wasn't a planned recipe as you may see, my church bro ther came over with all the food and we just put it together. Next time we add the coconut milk!!
Phillip Allen If you add muscles it will taste even better..I make my seafood broth similar to yours then I pour it over noodles. No corn tho..I haven't tried counch looks good tho. What does it taste like, a large clam?
AJoan Senaah W. It's just like a clam, however it really takes flavor from whatever you cook with it! It has to be tenderized first though otherwise it's like chewing rubber!
