    Rest in peace, Bobby Van... A most highly underrated game show... A shame he passed away not too long this show first aired.

    There has never been a more disco-fied Game Show theme than Make Me Laugh! This is great!

      The words 'game' and 'show' are NOT capitalised. You ONLY capitalise;
      - The FIRST letter of a sentence
      - proper nouns (Panasonic, Mr Jones, Xerox, etc)
      - names (Susan, Bob, etc)
      That's ALL.

      Uncles, you remember the 70s - like, mounted during it? That's a pretty incorrect thing to say. There were, in fact, quite a LOT of themes from game shows (and it's NOT 'Game Shows', as you ERRONEOUSLY CAPITALIZED. Only the FIRST letter of a sentence, A PROPER noun - IBM, and a name - Steve or Susan- are capped. NOTHING else - and not even the recent trend of denoting someone who's black as being 'Black.' If their name's 'Black,' as in Mr. Blackwell, it's capped). I can think of several series offhand (I can't recall most of the names, but I can 'hear' their theme in my mind. One exception was a game show hosted by (the then-perennial Canadian game show host) Alex Trebek. He hosted a Canadian game show called Chain Reaction. Another one - and I'm not 100% sure about this - was a game show he did called Pitfall.

      Well, considering it was 1979, you shouldn't be too surprised. This version was the aired TV version.

    The 1979-1980 syndicated version of Make Me Laugh! was done at KTLA/Golden West Broadcasters Videotape Division, now known as Sunset Bronson Studios. Bill Berry was the first announcer, then Johnny Gilbert and John Harlan took over announcer duties. It was distributed by Paramount Television, and now is under CBS Media Ventures under parent company Paramount Global, formerly ViacomCBS.
