A motto I have adopted as my own is that when you try, you either succeed or you learn. I choose to very rarely share my work on social media. As a learner, I don’t want the pressure of thinking every attempt at creating has to be good enough to post. That way I can feel free to have as many learning experiences as necessary on my journey.

I want to thank you for giving me the courage to start sketching. Watching your videos made me brave enough to get a sketchbook and start practicing daily, I take a pocket size sketchbook to work so I truly try. I made a sketchy account and sketch people’s portraits, I’m not the best but Im learning day by day. Thank you.

I am so grateful for your videos in this topic- on the fear of beginning. I saw your videos in the beginning of this years first and I started believing that I can draw and then I failed , I was disappointed and stopped. It took me a year to realize that I want to be an artist, but I have no idea what I wanna create and what technique to use. But your last two videos are so touching and so true and get right into soul and I started drawing again a little bit, it works, it is easy and it’s just cartoon kittens, but apparently I can draw in the end( I always thought I don’t have a talent cause my drawing teacher at school said it🙈) so, thank you very much for your work and your support! What you’re doing is important ❤

Very well put🙂An amazing approach to a long puzzling question. Why, why don’t I want go to a place Ive never been. Take a risk that really isn’t going to cost me anything except to waken unexperienced feelings. To me, not in Kansas any more means more than 15 miles from my place. Lol! Because its not where I am. Face the ugly unknown....I am going there these days! Ive missed so much of life that way. We can easily hide from the outside world, but not the internal world. It gets bored, sick and tired of being tired. I want to be cracked open so the juices really flow! Thanks Danny!!!

I do hand illustrations on commission. Just wanted to say that I am working on one now, and Danny's comments are so helpful and relevant and true for me. I am never beyond that fresh morning where I take up the pen without feeling some kind of reservation. I just hafta rally, I hafta just jump in-!
