There might be another encounter around 1:28:27, in the room opposite of the corridor. You can see a figure moving out of the librarians line of sight
@@AdamBrzozowski100% skeleton

Library man, I beg you, the house needs a courtyard. Every big spooky mansion has a courtyard.
I mean, he's got _gargoyles._ Those can only help!
inbetween the waterslide and the right side of the house is a lot of fores,t he can work on that to make a big garden ish area
And a garden
What abt a graveyard too!!11!!
yesss! Courtyard, courtyard, courtyard, ho!
4:15 At first, I thought he was just roleplaying, but now I think The Librarian has never seen a Woodland Mansion in Minecraft before
I had not. I was vaguely aware that something like it existed because of comments on the From the Fog series, but this is the first time I've encountered one.
@@TheLibrarianYT Congrats on the discovery then! :D What an awesome way to stumble upon one! (even if the whole thing--very fittingly--ended up in flames)
@@TheLibrarianYTside note, it appears the mansion spawned on a lava pool, rather unfortunate
@@TheLibrarianYTthat is such an amazing way to discover one then, leave it to the librarian to have such good luck lol
Edit: spoke too soon lmao. Place was on fire
It's not too surprising, considering how far away from spawn they tend to appear, and hidden deep within the woods, on top of that!
spirits: *watching from the distance* "tf is he doing?
the librarian: *robbing illagers*
32:10 Chris really started to sound like an anthology of the killer chapter antagonist there lmao
Fun fact:
If you combine 1 brown mushroom, one red mushroom, one bowl, and one dandelion in a crafting table, it'll make saturation suspicious stew. If on 3 hunger bars, eating the stew will restore 13 points of hunger, and all saturation :)
Whats so fun about the fact
@@user-eo1qe7ob3y
Well it's literally the best food in the game and offers the best saturation, meaning practically instant health regen.
So I guess that's why it's fun.
Unfortunately it's still unstackable.
@@Ixarus6713 Yeah, best food in the game on an individual level, but that lack of stacking really hurts it. You can stack the ingredients separately and craft when you need to eat, or just keep the dandelions and bowl and employ the assistance of a brown mooshroom to keep it around your base, but without stacking it loses out to more massable food options.
Bro is legitimately building in the most fire cod zombies map of all time
dawg got a whole intro now I love it
ikr it's so sick
@@markfergerson2145The Librarian:The Musical would be peak
So great
You should go full Scooby Doo and put a room behind some bookshelf blocks that’s only accessible by using a pressure plate or button to activate some sticky pistons to move the bookshelves. Getting some slime might be troublesome though.
even better, he could use the new Chiseled Bookshelf block to make a door that only opens if he takes out one specific book (will probably need to follow a tutorial though since its pretty complex)
Hidden doors are a must for any sizable base.
18:50 correct! All foods in the game have a secret “saturation” value which goes on top of your hunger and acts like bonus hunger points, essentially being used up before your hunger bar proper. Saturation is also consumed rapidly to heal the player when damaged,
If your interested in it there’s a mod called “apple skin” which displays the saturation above your hunger bar and hunger and saturation restoration of foods just by mousing over them or holding them in your hands 😊
15:49 is an example of the Immersive Weathering mod making it so that lava coming into contact with clay turns that clay into terracotta!
Going to watch this later, just wanted to say this series inspired me so much.
Like all of your series in the end, but this one specially.
I've started my own world where i build a different room for each time i sleep, but i'm doing it completely vanilla.
It's just as fun, i promise. Since there is just 20 minutes in vanilla minecraft for a day to pass, it's like you're speedrunning the game all the time. Chop wood, go mining for resources, hunt for food and then build the room.
I don't have time for not even a little break, i always exit the world so i don't even waste that minute for drinking or eating a snack.
It's not boring because you always have something to do, and the anxiety for not building the room in time is heavy. I gave myself 3 chances, if i fail to sleep in time in a new room and waste all 3 i quit the world.
I've also added a rule that i need to build a new bed everytime i make a room so i make the challenge more spicier, i'm now at day 22 and it's so much fun.
Also it's incredibly satisfying to see the house grow and grow until it becomes a maze to navigate in.
I wanted to do the same, but I don't have Minecraft sadly
speedrunner mentality
humans and illagers (along with villagers and the undead) did canonically used to be allied hundreds of years ago, so hearing that the librarian (human) led illagers so brutally is kind of funny and a bit of a darker take on it
“Fate has been tempted. A breath of fresh air fills my lungs, cleansing them of the slow cloying rot that seems to follow every step. The first of many temporary domiciles away from the labyrinthine halls of my home has been set. It can only be hoped that those whispers in the night remained confused by the evolving tricks used to apply what balm can be to the wound upon my mind”
I hope these little snippets I have started putting together are alright with ya. Always a delight to watch these videos, keep it up ^-^
shoutout to that lil zombie kid runnin around in your house librarian always nice you let the locals in to play around in your creepy mansion
I think the mod "Nyf's Spiders" would make a good edition. That would make the existing creepy crawlys even more creepy.
thats the one that makes them crawl on walls right
Yeah I 100% agree!!
@@omegadragons321 Yes. That's the one.
The spirits burnt the wrong dark oak mansion
I have an idea: The main FtF character (With Liberty) could be a captain who was sent to retrieve an item that would've saved your civilization, but the boat crashed due to unforseen consequences.
Another idea: After this series, Ocean From The Fog
@@SoulessPurpleFirefrom the ocean
And there could be like an oil-rig structure they could use as a base! (Do oil rig structure mods exist? Idk.)
44:05 "Now Im bulding with plans" 2 seconds later "How do I plan this??"
relatable
This series has been really ominous! The dialogue is on point, it’s cozy and unsettling at the same time!
I like to imagine this playthrough as a house tour in the future when the maker-you of this house is long dead, and people have turned it into sort of a museum where people give tours and the guides talk and muse and guess on the crazy reasons why you built it this way. Here we have what we think is the first room built and here is a rudimentary plumbing system before he started building it in the walls, and some rooms are made of stone for unknown reasons. Some people say he never really died and wondered off into the dark hallways of his house to never be seen again. That was the end of the tour, the exit is through the gift shop.
This is probably my favourite minecraft series I've seen anyone do! Also just in case you aren't yet aware, the terracotta structure you found in the river (49:30) is an archeological dig site, so you'll need to use brushes to safely extract any artifacts from it
Everytime this series continues I turn the happiest man in my house at least
Edit: I almost got too excited to see the woodñand mansion because of the chance of allays spawning inside the cells of tje First floor, but sadly there wasn't (because of the first from the fog series)
The woodland mansion fire actually wasn't your fault... it generated ONTOP OF a lava pool
I saw that lol chris always gets the craziest worldgen
I've heard it tends to do that.
Lava does get a bit quirky at woods
13:14 evoker jumpscare
I like to think that we the audience are something the librarians character has created in his mind so he doesn’t go mad.
Tip for the wine cellar: If you put a tripwire hook on a barrel, it looks exactly like a keg.
The random pots you found in the cave are actually Urns from the Supplimentaries mod and are not part of ruins. You can break them for either ashes, or sometimes random items and treasures like Emeralds or Diamonds.
I don't think it was the curse that burned that mansion down. I think it was the lava pool that somehow managed to spawn inside it.
*IMPORTANT* After you make a mushroom farm make sure to collect dandelions and combine it with mushroom soup to make suspicous stew each plant gives special effects dandelion gives you saturation and reduces the need to eat and gives you a full hunger bar from empty to full in a single bowl of soup.
Wow i didnt even know that, i always just composted the dandelions
@@antonionegrea3554 dont dandelion sus soup is a power food you still cannot stack it but 3 bowls are enough for a long expedition
backseat gamer
I knew suspicious stews were good.
But THAT GOOD? Wow.
I never really noticed this but seeing the librarian running feels so cursed
I can just imagine being at the top of the tower looking through the telescope scanning the hills and mountains. Suddenly something catches your eye. But when you go back to look it's gone. That's when you notice a light farther away. Looking closer it seems to be a small bonfire surrounded by bushes. Except those aren't bushes to your horror you realize that they're people in ragged cloaks. What are they doing you wonder. Then when morning comes you choose to examine the site only to find no sign of what you had witnessed. Was it just your imagination or did something actually take place.
Love the intro!
I think the mansion burned because of the pool of lava beneath it.
How dare youtube not notify me of this?! What an outrage for such a good series!
For real!
Oh.
So that's why I missed this episode.
14:00 idk if you realized but a lava pool generated right under the mansion, you can see it when you first notice the fire
You can power the statue (the one waving) by placing the lever under the block its on
I love the way things have turned out so far in this series, especially with how the lore of your character has evolved, the old school moss pyramids going from herobrines random works…to something you used to place, the illagers being former soldiers, some of whom have been studying the darker arts of magic (the vexes, the allay-type creatures the summoner summoned), how as soon as you made the photo and slept, it was revealed how the spirit had changed, being precise in its attacks, it hates to be recorded. An idea, a thought i had really, after completing this episode, was what if you adorn the old house in the various pictures, a show as a beacon for what you have seen, and what others who come near, should know what curses you.
the new intro and outro have my excitement on levels never felt before!
NEW INTRO? my god it's so fitting for your channel. i'm so proud at the channel's growth over this time and i'm so excited every time it hits another benchmark.
Nice.

Agreed.
Nice.
54:00 librarian wyd in creative mode [in chat]?? this is a scam /j
either way I am and have been in love with this series, love putting it on in the background while I'm drawing or writing, new intro card is a nice touch too :]
Peak intro, absolute cinema
52:45 not sure if someone has already mentioned it by now but unless there's a mod disabling it, you can go super fast on ice with a boat! Making it a pretty fun and quick form of travel along frozen rivers, highly recommend it if you feel like sledding.
You should try to water log slabs as a fire suppression
Absolutely love the new intro!
Once more I return from workout and find a new episode of the best series on RUclips
The mystery fire was likely started by a lightning strike
Edit: Well, the first mystery fire. Can't explain the second one
Speakin of wells, why not make courtyards with them? All spooky manors need tiny cramped courtyards, scattered illogically about
Edit: Also, for the cellar. If you place netherrack and cover the sides with spruce trapdoors it will resemble a barrel of apples!
There's something so fitting about coming across Woodland Mansion and it almost immediately being set on fire, Either Illagers are stupid at planning, or Spirits causing lava to sprung up from the ground. Also I think it would be good idea to make a calendar/seasons clock to better know what time of season it is, might help with crops
(I'm pretty sure the seasons mod adds this items)
YIPPEE NEW UPLOAD!!!! Also sick new intro dude!
When you were running down one of the halls and passed one of the large paintings, I thought, "there should be a hidden room behind that painting!".
thank you for taking my idea for the wine cellar! Love the new intro btw
Something you should do is put a small, covered up channel of water mounted on top of that floating hallway that burnt from the lightroom fire, so that the hallway always has water above to put out the fire.
I would love to see you use colorful glass blocks or panes in your mansion! ❤ just cuz its fun and unique looking.
Idk if anyone has mentioned it yet, but those posts with the lanterns are from Supplementaries. The signs are pointing to villages.. so the 1300b means theres a Village 1300 blocks in that direction. That Woodland mansion was just coincidently in the same direction. As far as I've had the mod, it's never directly pointed to anything other than villages.
Love this series
Love the intro
28:07 You can put FULL red wool blocks under the doors to make the impression of the carpet leading through the doorways, just a little protip.
I love watching this series so much, it keeps on inspiring me with my own builds, the insanity is what makes building fun. I've recently taken to splitting rooms or adding small additions to other houses where the bed will lie, with multiple ways to enter and exit, as well as a secret basement (I think how chiselled bookshelf with redstone works will make you very very interested) that leads to both two natural tunnels under and exiting my mountian side home, but also to a massive obsidian spire that can be summed up with a quote from a friend seeing it: "Jesus"
I'm pretty sure the fires are starting whenever you leave your bed in one location for a long time, so you probably need to move it somewhere else every morning
I don't know why I enjoy watching this guy do much. He just had a good voice and great commentary.
Librarian posted another video. This filled you with determination
btw, try searching for iron on mountains, there spawns a lot of it!
The intro AND little outro thing is so perfect
What’s creepy is that in the mansion the wool room is in the color of Steve’s clothing… maybe Steve (the player) was part of their team at one point?

Loved the Resident Evil shot at the end of the video. Been waiting for a moment like that since the beginning of the door opening animation being added.
That new intro is so good.
We've had vicious kings, and we've had architect kings, but I don't know if we've ever been cursed with a vicious architect for a king.
This is the earliest I’ve gotten to a Librarian video. 6 minutes ago.
you should build a nice lush quart yard in between the tall wooden walls, rusting iron bars and a nice small pond with some lily pads on a cloudy wet day!
Whohoo! New from the fog video just dropped, yippee!!!
Also neat intro!
On the topic of a wine cellar:
There is a wine mod! [Let's Do] Vinery!
Though it's a whole rabbit hole on its own.
There's also a beer brewing mod: Drink Beer Refill!
i love this series
YOO THE INTRO IS SO COOL WAHHH It fits the aesthetic so well!!!! Godsh I love this series so much Edit: and outro was so coollll
Ey, new Minecraft video! Also nice intro!
The pot you saw in the Mines. I have a mod in my modpack I use that has those pots. When you break em, you get small things from thise pots, torchs, gold nuggets, and some others.
But these vide are always unique, and a mod i recommend you adding is a Backpack mod. Will help alot with traveling when stuff form far away
this really is one of my favorite series on youtube, not just of those currently happening, but even of all the ones i have seen so far in my entire time on youtube
Ooo an intro
There should be different kind of that animation made by different people (I cannot word stuff)
HE HAS AN INTRO NOW?
He always had one
Now he has a small animation at the beginning
I've been slowly watching through this series, it's been really entertaining so far! Never thought about how interesting it'd be to basically create a haunted mansion organically through circumstances.... And something about that bit with the single redstone torch rising out of the water really stuck out. It wasn't some horrific thing, it was just... Weird in an oddly standout way.
Side note, sometime after this series reaches it conclusion, it could be potentially cool to see a world download to be able explore the entire final building!
I’m loving the camera mod. I wish there was a stand alone photography game that really put that much effort into capturing the film experience.
If I had any development skill beyond my 5 minutes in RPGMaker I would totally make a game like that. Maybe add a spook element but depends on the end goal
Hey, you've got yourself an intro! Nice!
librarian! you can water log stairs by using a water bucket on them, which would let you shrink down your fire suppression systems significantly. it'll flow from the side thats lower, so like... if you place the stairs slanting upside down, it'll flow from the recessed side
Suggestions: Add nyf's spiders mod, really makes spiders scarier.
Add Dungeons and taverns (DnT), adds some destroyed buildings and ruins around your world, could add some lore to it.
And also maybe make a courtyard
Also another mod i suggest is goprone, just allows you to go crawling mode without a trapdoor
THAT INTRO IS SO COOL
First off, I love how carefree he was walking into a WOODLAND MANSION, and second, tell me I wasn't the only one who was PRAYING that he would find an Allay or two in that Mansion...
I love when you left a quiet segment in the video and all I can hear is the game and the clicking sound of the keyboard, it's like asmr for me. I'd love a calm Minecraft video with just the keyboard sound. I've tried to search for videos like that but I got no luck lol
I was just about to play Minecraft myself, but this takes much more priority
Update: after 14 seconds of watching I have been employed as a detective to help solve a murder on the Realm, which may take even higher priority than this video.
Suggestion: You should at some point build a massive space with an indoor nature area complete with trees and a lake. I feel like that would sort of epitomize the idea of this house becoming something beyond just another structure; being built so large that it contains its own ecosystem.
idunno how partial you are to raytracing, but rethinking voxels looks gorgeous!
also: there is a mod, Immersive Paintings that lets you have any image you want as a painting, like in VotV!
Waterlogged back facing stairs also don't burn, or explode.
Trapdoors on the open sides can give you firebreak walls that can be both thinner, and used more sparing in load walls.
I suggest (If possible) to install either Alex's mobs or Alex's caves, both for different reasons, Alex's mobs will give you a Beautiful and Active world while Alex's caves will give a bit more of a "Goal" to the Series.
And down under lays something rather... forlorn ; )
Also Alex's caves is terrifying and there's dinosaurs
I feel like Alex’s Caves would be a bit too much of a distraction from the building, if he does it it should be as its own series or standalone video.
I personally don't like alex's caves and even mobs, feels too non vanilla and just uhm something
@@billymkj2763i agree tbh. the level of quality is really good but in terms of design, a lot of them are just extremely annoying in a way that vanilla doesnt make its mobs (like seagulls literally taking from your inventory, raptors stealing from chests, etc.)
22:06 bro is little too happy💀💀💀
Love the intro! Have you considered playing Bendy And The Ink Machine? Would love to see you play it! That game has a great atmosphere and I think you’d love it!
Have you considered building rooms as a method of travel? Ie. Strip mining becoming an actual hallway. Like your house becoming a massive octopus across the world
That luck with the mansion is beyond incredible, if it was on a traditional Minecraft RUclipsr it would be incredibly suspicious.
little tip for any of you who are, like Chris, unaware of minecraft things: that summoner guy drops a totem of undying on death, giving you a second chance to survive death as long as you hold it (direct hold, not just in inventory, it has to be in one of your hands at least at the moment you die), and while his little summons, the vexes, look scary, they're probably the only good attack he has, everything else has a counter, the only counter for vexes, kill them before they kill you.
If you dump a bucket of water on the floor of the woodland mansion, it will wash the carpet tiles off the floor so you don't need to collect them one by one.
