This song always reminds me of an Australian guy named Steve that I met in Shanghai on Christmas Day, 1986 ... never saw him again, but we exchanged a few letters. His occupation seemed to be hanging out in various places all over the world.
@@lightleeconomics18no it was very distinctly a common ringtone from mid 90s cell phones. I think in an interview they mentioned that someone’s phone started ringing during the take, but the take was so good they just left it.
Clarinet player is playing a "wrong note" at the bottom of the opening lick...He's playing a D#-C# (e-flat - d-flat) but it should be D#-D (e-flat - d)... a half step. (clarinet pitches). At least that's what was played on the "Ever and Ever Amen" recording.
That dude on the clarinet kills it!!! GOOD JOB!

Is that a ben folds impersonator on drums?
+Nicholas Searcy His name is Sam Smith (not that one) and has drummed for Ben since sometime after Songs for Silverman.
I thought it was Dana Carvey. I was expecting Choppin Broccoli at any moment.
@@bairfanx Whats that. A man named Sam Smith that looks like Ben Folds? Seems like he couldn´t decide who he wanted to be

I find myself missing the 90s cell phone ring tone from the original version lol
Wasn't it a house phone?

The clarinet player looks like he was really good in school
Can ben make a musical?
Korn disliked this video.
Se oye muy padre todo, pero sin duda alguna, faltó Robert Sledge.
eight years later and I was thinking the exact same thing.
I thought the drummer was Darren Jessee for a minute there.
No impressing the girl in the yellow shoes.
Maybe she has cellulite :(
Haha every time it showed her I was like...DO YOU NOT SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES?
She smiles at 2:50!!!

I'm certain that was on purpose. It sounds awesome!
This is the single geekiest musical critique I've ever heard and I love you for it!
Matthew Cover "Whatever and Ever Amen."
I was wondering if anyone would notice that.
The five people that hate this have no taste.
Bens least successful brother Brad is on the drums :-)
This arrangement is great, but the mix sucks. Sorry
