Chin Up vs Pull Up - Which one is better? Muscle Building & Strength

  • Which is better, the chin up or the pull up? Well that depends!
    At face value, many people think the chin up is a bicep exercise and the pull up is a back exercise, but thats not true!
    There are a lot of similarities and some key differences between the movements.
    It's also important to consider that we can change the moves and it will affect how these differences and similarities - such as grip width.

    I alternate the chinup,and pull up between sets.I think there both important.

    It's funny how all these bodybuilding influencers all flex their muscles in their videos. None of them have their arms loose along their bodies. 😁

    Great video and explanation of muscles. Is the goal of this video to show how to work the back muscle for grwoth or to learn a skill movement?

      With both you are adducting the arm/humerus.

      No they're not it depends what you want to work nothing's better if you want to work biceps chin-ups if you want to work v-shaped lats wide grip Pull-Ups it depends what body part you want to emphasize in your training in the beginning of my back workout I always start with wide grip Pull-Ups for that big strong wide lats then when I'm finished then I emphasize my biceps with closer grip chin-ups Palms facing me. It's actually a stupid video no one movements better than the other it's just what you want to train for what body part.
