This Dzogchen text by Jigme Lingpa is intended to strengthen one’s meditation practice by clearly pointing out the places where we can go astray. In the Mahayana, the bodhisattva path of wisdom and compassion, the Lion's Roar is the Buddha's proclamation of emptiness, the principle that all experience is by nature empty of concepts and of any fixed thing.

Jigme (or Jikme) Lingpa (1730-1798) is regarded as one of the most important figures in the Nyingma lineage. Also known as ‘Khyentse Özer’, ‘Rays of Compassion and Wisdom’, he was a great scholar and visionary, and discovered the Longchen Nyingtik cycle of teachings and practice through a series of visions from the great fourteenth century master, Longchenpa. The Longchen Nyingthik eventually became the most famous and widely practiced cycle of Dzogchen teachings.

The art of recognition, insight and being.
I have a thought regarding emptiness. Emptiness seems to be an outward looking place, mirrorless , a detachment, a void. This is the arena of time, and space. An inversion of the reality. Pure un-adulterated awareness is not the same as emptiness. Perhaps it can be described as fullness. The heart of self. Love. Truth. The ego is what exists in the void. Our pure self rests in true reality.
To awaken to it, is the opposite to striving for it. Realization is a perfect word for the process. The truth can be so pervasive that it becomes invisible. Negation to fullness is the path, a paradox some might say, but no, the world of forms is not a multiplicity of the ONE but rather a division.
In the case of the Great Perfection, our true nature IS pristine pure, empty awareness, non-dual, timeless and spontaneous. You could call it empty cognition that is lucid, clear and bright.

Hello Samaneri! Your channel is beyond words can express how good it is! Your understanding of the teachings is so profound that you bring the best of all traditions! I am curious- is there anyway of getting this teaching in paper book? This one and the “Truth of your beings” and “a oneness appear to be in many” from Garab Dorjee. I am from Tibet and never exposed such good teaching other yourself.

Will give a second listen. Not sure this Dzogchen way of meditation, meshes with true sovereignty of my individual being essence/spirit - not needing a guru outside me.
Incontrovertible natural state feels like I am my own guru observing the expanse of empty awareness outside samsara and nirvana matrix.
Wouldn’t the ultimate accomplishment be a permanent exit from this hell realm including the vastness of all astral levels? Maybe this is what you are saying.
please, may i ask for some instruction? it seems that meditating brings a lot of energy to the body, but then the body may not know what to do with this. can you please say something about this matter to guide me or indicate where i might look for an answer?
Yes, as our poet friend has written Elsa, I was going to suggest doing some walking as well to naturally allow this energy to move throughout your body. You can also practice some walking meditation which allows you to keep your mind focused more on the sensations and within and this also can help with settling the energy. Nothing is wrong - people experience different things at different times and nothing is good or bad. Just know that this too will change.
