I knew that Twinkie always loved her sister Denise despite what she was doing they always had each other's back's
I literally just got done watchn this movie. Had me in tears
I'm glad their children are close. I don't pretend to know what happened or who's right or who's wrong, but at the very least, I'm glad their children are always with each other.
I love Denise she took charge of her life
@CarltonJones-hs5ou Same, it is a mother's responsibility to GUIDE her children to the right & best things for their lives, not to completely TAKE OVER & REFUSE TO ALLOW THEM THE FREE WILL GOD GRANTED US ALL TO WALK THE JOURNEY THAT WAS PLANNED FOR THEM. She may not have stayed up on, not living for the approval & acceptance of Mattie Moss Clark & The Cogic Church & its membership. She raised her boys in the church & SHE STILL LIVES FOR GOD TO THIS DAY!!! Sadly tho, she just lost her son Gino, this being the 2nd child she lost & my 💔 breaks for her, while sending her my most sincere condolences & 🙏🏾praying for her comfort & eventual peace that surpasseth all understanding 🙏🏾.
I'm not gonna lie, it feels like Jacky plays a huge role in this and maybe it's the fact that Jacky really isn't a clark biologically due to her being the child of Ms. Mattie's 1st marriage. She's not biologically Elder clark (the clark sisters father) child and he probably abused her often as seen in the movie. I think that plays a huge role in it because I've heard her talking with Larry Reid and 100% believe everything she says. I don't believe Karen and Dorinda really had any good reason to resent Niecy other than what Jacky has told them, but what I'm basically saying is Denise vs. The Clark Sisters originated from
Jacky vs. Denise. Even when you mention Denise's name to Jacky, her whole demeanor changes. I just pray that they can move past this before it's too late

I remember listening to the interviews she did with Larry Reid and she stated when their mother would go out of town or when she wasn't home Jacky would tell Dorinda and Karen not to listen to Denise and they didn't have to respect her because she had a child out of wedlock.
It’s funny Karen and dorinda had so much to say about Denise’s sin, but Karen’s son has two kids out of wedlock & Dorinda’s Daughter was in the streets on drugs, sooo he who is without sin cast the first stone….!!!!! I’m like how dare you look down at her for the stuff your own children have done, but they don’t think nobody should say nothing about their family….!!!!! SAD I feel bad for Denise because she seems so loving!!!!
That's not a very good point. This happened years before either of their children were born and even more years for them to become grown and do their own thing. And we also don't know what the conversation was with their children. Who's to say they didn't do the same thing? No way to know that.
@@clifst.laurent1068 That could be why it happened. People don’t realize that some of their sins can and will fall on their children. We ALL have to be careful how we judge others because we or our children could end up in the same way. I’m tryMing to repent from judgmental thoughts as I type.
Wait a minute: Karen's son has TWO kids out of wedlock??!?!!? Dorinda's daughter was on DRUGS(!?!?!) I didn't know this! WOW! Personally, I'd like to see ALL of the sisters sing together again but this is...WOW

Man, I was a serious Clark fan.. That movie put a bad taste in my mouth.. I feel like Denise when she walked out that meeting..
From what I got from all of this stuff is Denise just got tired of being judge of a mistake she made and decided to go her own way

Can you imagine the lives of " holiness kids?" The torment of living up to others expectations and not God's. Having to keep your family's reputation in tact and not being able to be a person. I couldn't.

@@znayJ Obviously Karen did not repeat the cycle. J Drew is still with his family and still apart of the church. Kierra is doing her thing. Same with Dorinda, her daughter was wayward but today she is still by her side. But Denise's chickens also came home to roost. She told Larry Reid her sons don't see or call her much and one didn't even want her at his wedding. She said she thought they resented her for leaving and keeping them away from the family/business. I bet her kids have also made her face all the same things she was running from when she quit. And I can't help but notice some of her boys seem particularly close to Jacky. lol
She’s a whole bishop now. Can we stop the narrative that she left God? She left the Clark’s sisters!
It's sad that some churches can cause family members to separate. I grew up in both COGIC and Baptist churches. My dad's family is Baptist. My mom's family is COGIC. In my COGIC church experience, they would shun people and even encourage family to separate from family who they deemed to be living in "perpetual sin". I didn't see this in my experience in the Baptist church. Jackie, Dorinda, and Karen cast judgement on Denise. Twinkie didn't. In the COGIC church, we were taught to hate the sin, but love the sinner. Yet, the sin is what most church folk focus on and fail to truly show the love.
I’m not a part of any church, so I’m not being partially, But what if somebody chooses to stay in sin?
@@CodyCole80 Well, the only thing you can do, according to the Bible, is pray for them. No sense in going out of your way to shun them or try to turn them into what you want. Sometimes praying is the only answer.

This movie is a great example as to why we need to leave these churches alone and really get to know God. Anytime religion can create the framework for the love and loyalty you have for your family and yourself, I think there is a problem. She was the smartest out of the bunch. She got out of that cult.

I think Minister Denise Clark should not be airing all her family business in public, and she should forgive all this thing that happened in their personal family. Since she is a apostolic minister. I think she should pray on this matter and go ahead and make a name for herselfbecause she left the group on her own and stop making public statements about her sisters this is evil and not right

My question is why didn’t Denise Clark make a name for herself? She could’ve started her own ministry or kept singing in churches to build her own brand. She’s a Clark and should’ve kept doing her own thing singing. Letting all these years come and go while her sisters kept going. I think she was her worst enemy. Correct me if I’m wrong but there isn’t any Denise Clark singing after boldly leaving the group. I know it was ugly how she was being treated but she helped build the name the Clark Sisters. She could’ve done better for herself.

She's always been in ministry. She's even ministered in the prison's to the inmates and she said she would specifically ask for the ones that had life sentences or the ones on death row. So she's in ministry she just ain't famous with it like her sister's.
You are right, but I believe that in order to get to their level of fame Denise would have had to sell her soul. She got far away from the other sisters because with 1 honest soldier working for God will not connect to others that are into the devils work. Karen and dorinda is grown old ladies, they are old enough to talk to their sister Denise.

To be honest. She could have tried to start her own ministry, but if you pay attention how the industry works. All parts of the industry is run by evil people. Look at passed groups who's members left or didn't sign the contract, they had no opportunity after the group. So denis herself would not have been successful as the clark sisters together because of her not signing the contract. It's like to the industry she holds no value , but if she would have stayed in the clark sisters group, and then went solo when everyone else did then she would be if more value to the industry. People don't know the sacrifices and and crazy things the artists must do to go to the next level of popularity. It's easy for us to see this from the outside, but if you were in the industry you would do just what denis did. She got her doctorates degree, and she ministers still, but she doing it the way we are supposed to do it. Minister everywhere and not just in the church. She open and honest.
I think Dr. Maddie Moss Clark would be turning over her grave and very disturbing about what apostle Denise Clark is talking about and causing all this confusion in the group or in the family. It’s ridiculous. It’s horrible save people do not cause all these problems like this.

I come from a musical family and I’ve seen this whole 💩 show before! Al we can do is pray for the family… and our own families!!
