This would be ditto for us. A move to another state, all alone without any family, nothing working out financially...it's honestly been a disaster and yet the spiritual growth and opportunities have been incredible. Even losing two daughters (as adults) have not compared to this trial. Every single door gets slammed shut. It's incredibly painful not to be able to visit some of the family that is very far away so thank you for your work! I feel as though you, Matt, Meghan, Avraham, and Nicole are our dear friends. ❤

Wow this was what my husband and I needed to hear today. We felt prompted to sell his practice and we should prepare to serve a senior mission. Papers went in Dec 2019, practice sold in Jan 2020, then everything put on hold with Covid. 1.5 years later we got reassigned and served in Jacksonville FL and loved working with the missionaries. I lost all my retirement and he sold after his best 2 years of his practice. We got home in April and not much has worked out since then. We have been plagued with so many problems but spiritually we have been very blessed to serve in so many callings. We don’t know what Heavenly Father has for us now but I am glad we aren’t alone.

Did you ever feel like leaving Babylon happens first spiritually, then temporally too until we are no longer identifying with the scarlet and purple silks, pearls and fine jewels and/or arrogance that usually accompanies such an overabundance of such things? I too have been torn from the old standard we learned to revere having been raised in Babylon! And if the Lord sees fit to bring some fine twined linen my way, I wont argue Him😆 but I think maybe this is why so many towers falling moments have happened to so many of us. I still believe that the Morning Star will descend upon the damaged remains of such catastrophic scenarios, supplying us with the strength and new life force required to get up, and carry on, and with a smile on our faces as we do it! Your comment touched my heart- I understand your sacrifices and losses completely. What powerful missionaries you must be! God be with you as you continue to trudge this road! Ill see you in the promised land!!!
@@motherearth9290 Beautiful thought! Thank you. I do think we leave Babylon spiritually first, otherwise we would not leave it physically. The allure of Babylon must be stripped from our desires.
This is the best video i have heard in a while! It was very motivating to stay the course... these are very exciting times, and are also strange times, at least for me. I am living in conditions that I have never had to face before, and never dreamed i would face... in fact, they are the opposite of what i had imagined! But I trust that the spiritual lessons will come in VERY handy, and that our Father always has very good reasons for what He does, that will make sense as time goes on. I love you saints! Let us all press on, hold on, and know that the light will come! We are already victorious, and our fears are almost all illusions of our adversary who wants us to be afraid, doubt, give up! But I am learning that as I run to God with my heartbreak and concerns, instead of whatever other coping mechanism of the world there is, that He absolutely hears me, heals me and helps me. I totally understand everything you're saying and feeling. It is a paradoxical test! It's not what we imagined.
So good and reassuring. The experiences are uniquely designed for us alone but we arent alone. Saints all over the world are struggling big time. That is why these principles and truths are such a blessing to be reminded of. The bring greater hope, faith, and trust in THEM and THEIR mighty plan for us. Thanks again for these great podcasts.

Thought maybe I was going a little crazy with the things I see converging, and the things the Lord is putting me through. I have such praise and gratitude for a merciful God that gives us refining opportunities before things get really tough.

I have had some severe trials starting in 2020. Miraculously I also had my baptism of fire experience in that same year, which I cherish. But my trials didn’t stop they got worse, to the point of my daughter ending up with fentanyl in her system and having to be in the children’s hospital and then in rehab 2 different times. Then my other daughter took off at 15 for 2 weeks and we didn’t know where she was. Turns out she was with a 19 year old who she met online. We did get her back, thank goodness. But the biggest blow of all, was when our oldest daughter who had served a mission and was always our stalwart one, told us she stopped wearing her garments and didn’t want to go to church anymore. It was a confusing and heart wrenching time. I felt I had failed God. He let me know this was my test and to trust in him. I am trusting in Him, He has never let me down. Anyways, thank you for your videos! They have brought me joy and hope.
Our descent phases will test us to the max but they will also sanctify and exalt us if we remain loyal to our covenant connection with the Savior. Thank you for sharing your story. It will help others who are going through similar trials.

Thank you for this video. I have had miracles. The last two times I have gone grocery shopping someone has been right there to help me carry in my groceries which is such a great help having a broken hip. I get promptings of what needs to be purchased. The latest has been soap.

Thank you for this topic. My wife and I have certainly experienced the "this doesn't make sense at all, Lord, but we'll do it" type revelation. With many physical and financial trials, the spiritual promptings to have our sixth baby when nothing made sense for us to follow through. Even well- meaning family and friend were questioning our decision, "Are you guys sure?"
We decided to follow through and he's been such a hard baby!!!😂 But he's such a blessing! And I know we'll see more of his greatness as he gets older and as the Coming of the Lord approaches.
I get it! My wife and I have been making decisions our whole life that have not made sense to friends and family. But we cannot go against the direction of the spirit. Press forward with steadfast faith in Christ.
Leave to thy God to order and provide; In ev’ry change he faithful will remain.
We were told by the Spirit to move from our land, our home and kids and grandkids to another state where we knew no one. I'm sight impaired, my husband away on business 5 days a week, and our family far away. A lot of miracles have happened along with many trials. We are fulfilling the work the Lord has for us but I sure miss my kids and grandkids. I am often alone, though I do have a wonderful support group while my husband is away. I must admit I do get very depressed and wonder what my purpose even is, all the while trying to be obedient. All any of us can do is take one day at a time and hold on to the Iron Rod as tight as we can and be obedient. God bless us all.

Great stuff! I'm gradually learning how to move from being a spectator from years and decades of reading the scriptures and marveling at the "players" ability to overcome and change into new creatures, to actually 'playing', thanks to selfless and seeking people like you and Matt. How many knocks upside the head has it taken to get me to wake up? Too many...and it's finally starting to happen.

I agree with you whole heartedly. It seems that so many are acting as if this is all just normal everyday life. I feel crazy and alone because it is so obvious what is going on but so many don’t see.

Yes, they are real and they are essential if our desire is to part the veil.
During my morning study today (Revelation 12), I realized while in the spirit the importance of the woman in the sky having great birth pangs to be delivered... I believe it was included as a sign to us, that we might know that when we travail in these last times, that deliverance is on the other side. Im sure that mothers can understand how long and difficult labor seems, but how worth it when its over! This will all be worth it.

Loved this video because I can resignate with it. Like you, I had a spiritual awaking a few years ago while watching General Conference. It's something I cannot explain but it felt like I "woke up" and was called to something higher. I got to work with studying my scriptures more, going to the temple, and making Christ the center of my life and my family's. Almost year ago, I felt prompted to start an Instagram page sharing the gospel and preparedness. I felt insecure and I was worried that I was going to hurt feelings or look weird. But I did it. I'm happy to say that my account has grown immensely, even when I had doubts and wanted to quit. (Some people online can be so brutal). I have found so many wonderful friends and followers who love Christ and feel that extra pull to prepare for His second coming. I just found your youtube channel and have shared it with so many friends and family because I love it. Keep up the amazing work. Christ is coming soon.

Wonderful discussion! 5 years ago I also went through my Abrahamic test. At the end of it was a spiritual high. Since then the Lord has been continually teaching me. I completely resonate with Matt's explanation about the accelerating helix. I'm seeing so many doors being opened to me that I have no clue what's coming next I'm just stepping through them.

I have been dealing with a situation, a calling, that does not fit in my paradigm at all. I keep saying, “I don’t know how to navigate this” and it has caused me to constantly ask God if this is REALLY what He wants me to do. I fast nearly every Sunday, pray in the temple, and pray over it constantly. I get peace and even signs, especially in the form of numbers, which is also new to me and I question if I’m just making it up, but it comes at times and in ways that makes it hard to dismiss. It’s challenged me and even makes me angry at times because it shouldn’t be this outside my paradigm. I don’t know how else to say it.

Randy, you and Matt are wonderful. That you for sharing your experience. That helps us to be more aware of what the Lord is teaching us in our challenges. I take the time to take notes on what you are both teaching us. It is a higher and holier way of thinking spiritually.

I've been going through an Abrahamic Testing for a while now. It started off as a promise. And then it transformed into something I can't explain. Something others around me do not now---and may never---understand. I wish I had a community around me, of people who understood. I wish I had somebody to talk to about this. Not to tell them everything. But to tell them enough where maybe we could help each other, serve as confirming witnesses for each other. This has almost snapped my heart strings...I've almost left the church multiple times. But still...I am drawn to the feelings and prescense of the Holy Spirit. Nothing touches that sensation. I'm convinced there's nothing out there like it. That keeps me coming back. It keeps me following this mysterious trail of breadcrumbs. But it is very lonely at times. Even scary.
Be still, my soul: Thy God doth undertake To guide the future as he has the past. Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake; All now mysterious shall be bright at last.

Trinkets of the world, entertainment, music, etc…don’t matter to me. I am learning to listen to the Lord’s language of the spirit every minute in order to do the “best” things for right now during this critical time of preparation. He WILL come and it will be beautiful 🌟

This is 100% happening in my life. I've had so many doors close - and it's gotten me to trust God on a completely different level. All the while I have some family that thinks I am insane and am completely wasting my time. My soul has been tested and refined like never before over these last six months or so. I am thankful for it, as I am starting to see what it is bringing me towards - but some nights have been extremely difficult. I am seeing how His plan is SO much bigger than mine, and I just need to trust it. This was definitely an answer to prayer for me. Thanks a ton for sharing! :)

Its really frustrating to hear ppl speak like this. I don't see any abnormal testing in my life. I see ppl talking about witnessing miracles everyday and feeling the spirit so strongly everyday. I don't see any changes in what I'm experiencing in the last 10 or 20 years and yet I'm trying harder than I ever have. So what does it mean when I see ZERO paradoxical tests in my life? It makes me think ppl are reading into what they are seeing and feeling to some degree because because they desperately want these things and there is no way they can be given what they claim to be given and the rest of us see none of that in our lives. I know ppl that are salt of the earth AMAZING members and they are not having these experiences. I don't know of one person in my ward, in my family or friends that are having these levels of experiences.
If you haven't seen these kinds of trials yet, prepare yourself for what is coming. We have to pass through them to reach the level of spirituality we'll need to access miracles. Pray for the things you'll need to survive spiritually. Pray for "eyes to see" His hand in every aspect of your life!
This brought comfort.
This last month and a half has been full of testing. And yes, very custom made. Which is good! It was just last night I felt I received some sense of all the confusing events of great disappointments. Then a dream was given that also gave me more clarity of the why the tests. So grateful for past experiences that I gained trust with Him. My heart is so full and thank you for this discussion of understanding and validation. It feels so lonely and isolating most of the time. But.. He is always there 🤍
