Only just come across your channel. And I’m really enjoying catching up watching all your travels. Keep enjoying your van life. And your van is lovely. Travel safe ~x~
"The Bridge Over The Atlantic" 😂😂😂😂... I bet your heart was in your mouth as you drove over and quickly drove back whilst the drone hovered! 😬 I think that sheep came to Shelly to see if you sold teas and coffees! 😂 I fact I like the way you say hello and politely wave at the different sheep 😊 It's a shame you couldn't have a go on the fog-horn 🤷🏻♂️
I visited the outer Hebrides in the late 90’s on a backpacking tour. Lovely place! I remember the locals insisting we knew that they stack their peet differently in Lewis than in Harris 😂
I abs love your vlogs Helen I bought a vw camper and i have been to skye a couple of times with friends but never had the bottle to do the trip on my own and you are an inspiration to anyone thinking of going away on your own Thank you 😊😊👍
Love your videos! Your pace, photography and production values, your relaxed positivity in the face of catastrophe are inspiring. I am planning a big Scottish ferry trip next summer myself and now I'm really getting excited. Lots of ideas of places to go and things to do (like check I'm at the right ferry!) to add to my list. You've set the bar high for having fun, thank you. Keep it up and may your travels continue to get better and better. Safe home. Eric
I meant to suggest a future adventure: Have you ever been to Corrour? Only accessible by train, but beautiful hikes over Rannoch Moor once you're there. Good drone flying too.
Your living an amazing life a life i would love to try one day. Extremely beautiful town. Im sure the more i watch of u the more ill be persuade into trying your lifestyle . Thank you for a great video appreciated.
That drone shot of you driving over the bridge turned out really well Helen.Great video I hadn't even been to those locations when I was there so it was nice to see what else was available on the islands.
Been catching up on your stuff whilst I edit clients photos and I must say Helen your smashing it the editting in this is super b and I love the lighthouse hopefully I can catch up with you in Scotland when I’m up there in a few weeks if not definitely need to meet up again soon looking forward to the Isle of Skye as it’s amazing and you will love it
Another brilliant video Helen. Loved the music selections, very relaxing. Some breathtaking scenery, very tranquil. I think most of us commenting on this vid would love to be in ur shoes right now haha.
A couple of great videos and nice to see you using the drone even more. We have one and I think it is a confidence thing, hoping that it will return. There are certain areas in Scotland where you cannot fly them. May I say that I think you missed a trick with not going to Luskentyre but as a few have said below, everyone knows the main locations so it is good the see the area from a different perspective and that is what makes this video stand out from the rest.
I went to the beach in Luskentyre but I didn’t film it. It would be impossible to include every place I visit in these videos - they’d be hours long - so I pick my favourites to film 😊
Couple of great over nights on skye...... Staffin slipway (lovely beach) and Neist point (busy in the day, very quiet at night) Move into the centre of Skye for the country pubs of which there are a few) we've experienced the log fires, local music and fantastic food you Crave on Skye many times
Thank you ☺️ I definitely recommend going to Lewis and Harris! I don’t have loads of time on Skye unfortunately, but I’ll hopefully whiz round and see as much as I can
Another great video. Often wondered what Stornoway was like. On pubs, my wife is Scottish and we have visited a few times over the years and cosy pubs is one thing that Scotland doesn't do on the scale you get in England or Wales. Some fabulous hotels though.
Hi Helen ive just started to watch your vlogs and love them iam 65 and i want a camper so working on that but id like to tell you of an island called Islay i go there i think you would love it cary
Great video. As 1/4 Scottish I find these far North of Scotland beauty spots as a place to explore my heritage, especially the Shetland Islands as my late grandad was born there. Have you ever considered exploring Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and County Durham?
I visited a few beaches, but it wasn’t exactly beach weather. I found other places more interesting so I filmed those instead. I think it’s good that I’ve shown other places to explore 🙂
I will be in Scotland in some weeks and i also Plan to Visit Harris. But i just found a Warning that it is Not allowed to park overnight outside of official camping Spots in Harris. And it seems that all camping spots are fully booked during our stay. What was your impression of the parking/Camping Situation in Harris?
Harris was the easiest place to find park ups out of the whole trip! There’s loads of spots and loads of vans about doing the same. They’re all on Park4Night and I didn’t have any issues. There’s also West Harris Trust Camping Spots which I found on Google maps and they’re designated park up places that ask for a donation. Enjoy your trip 🚐
Hi Helen (don't know if you remember me from GK!) - I remember you said in a previous video you were struggling to find insurance for full time vanlife, which company did you manage to go with in the end if you don't mind me asking?
@@nell0uise sorry mega slow reply! Thankyou, I'll have a look at them, currently looking at sprinter conversions to try full time in a year or so and hadn't thought about insurance!
Love your videos Nel. Such a relaxed style. Wow. The drone shots of the lighthouse were amazing. You were very brave with the drone. Well done. 👏🙏
ha ha you definitely have a thing for bridges. beautiful Scotland.

Thanks for watching! The lifestyle isn’t for everyone, but I couldn’t recommend it more to people who can make it a viable way of life 🚐
That drone shot of you driving over the bridge turned out really well Helen.Great video I hadn't even been to those locations when I was there so it was nice to see what else was available on the islands.
Thank you ☺️ The drone shot of the bridge was worth it in the end

Thank you! Glad you liked it

Great video again Helen, I really must make the effort to do Harris and Lewis next year and visit my nephew who lives there

Also boat trip from Elgol to see the Seal colony and Loch Coruisk, Keep your eye out for my wallet while your there I lost it in 2018 🙂
Thank you ☺️ I definitely recommend going to Lewis and Harris! I don’t have loads of time on Skye unfortunately, but I’ll hopefully whiz round and see as much as I can

It’s such a shame! The music, the whisky, the bad weather… a cosy pub would be perfect!
Na tig air ais... 😋

Have you ever considered exploring Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and County Durham?
Think this must be the first video of Lewis & Harris that doesn’t show a single beach from south Harris! Did you not go there?
I visited a few beaches, but it wasn’t exactly beach weather. I found other places more interesting so I filmed those instead. I think it’s good that I’ve shown other places to explore 🙂

When the Castle was gifted to the Council it was specified it could not be a hotel. Guess that got ignored...
The castle isn’t a hotel …it’s self catering units

Hi Dara, Yes of course I remember you - I hope you're doing ok! I managed to get insured with Just Kampers in the end
@@nell0uise sorry mega slow reply! Thankyou, I'll have a look at them, currently looking at sprinter conversions to try full time in a year or so and hadn't thought about insurance!
Who would have thought a pub would be full of drunk local young people?
Speaking as a teuchter, that's what pubs are meant to have in them.
Faja says Hi
Hi 👋🏻
The current generation of Hebridean Islanders are pretty graceless & crude, fairly culture-free unfortunately. Not quite everyone though!
