You can actually wrap it up in silver duct tape to make it more durable. Or realistic looking or roll up some paper and put it inside the supposed blade and hilt you could also put rubberbands on it. Or all three. There's so many things you can test with this.

It turned out pretty well! But I couldn’t hold the sword so I used my technique and made a knife with its pretty cool ask me if anyone wants how to make the knife u have to make the full sword but take out the sword piece cut it in half then put it in the handle -if dosent work then fold the half sword piece and put in the handle I made the knifes for my friends
