Repairing an ikea alarm clock

This alarm clock doesnt alarm. I spend like 5 minutes repairing it.

I have the same alarm clock but I don't know where the problem is and how to fix it , everything is ok and all wires are connected but I found a sticky fluid on the cell and it's ending only, what was that, I changed the cell but it is still leaking , what to do, anyone?

The alarm works on mine, but it's not keeping time with new batteries. My son will take it apart and he can learn why it isn't working properly. Thank you for your video.
