It's kinda crazy you can't skip a non-begun quest in order to complete an ongoing quest. I had to begin a commission, and then this commission was blocked by the event quest, which is also really dumb (like, if I have to start the damn daily, let me at least finish it). But yeah, the fact you can't cancel a quest is really stupid.

the answer to never getting quest blocked is to never do a quest at all. I havent done a single story bit since like yae miko banner and it feels so liberating

This event was a royal pain in the ass because it assumes you've already finished the archon quests of Fontaine AND several world quests on top of that. It's also rather lengthy at 4 acts.
That said, I enjoyed the writing much more compared to some of the archon quests, and Chevreuse has amazing character development that puts even some 5* story quests to shame.
Elements of metafiction? Check.
The satisfaction of knowing how some central characters are faring after the archon quest? Check.
A serious message that's unfortunately relevant to real-world issues? Check.
