    I got goosebumps during the clip about the Stolpersteins. My great grandmother was murdered in Auschwitz and the Stolperstein Project vetted her biography and created a bronze stone for her.

      I’ve seen them in several towns. A couple I saw last time only stated that they died - did not have the ‘camp’ that they often do

    I guarantee I’ve heard Sweet Caroline more than you this year! Our trash robots at work play it at least once a day as they come by our stations. 😂 It always makes me want to go on a cruise.

    In 1985 I was in Rothenburg for the Christmas Market. I went at night, and there was a brass band of older men in uniforms playing carols. I will remember it all of my life. It was magical. Your video brought back all of the memories.

    I love the unique architecture of the Bavarian region. It’s why I love international travel so much, each place is so different and has so much to offer. I’m also a professed photographer bug 😂

    This town has been my favorite. Appropriate that you described it as Fairy Tale, with the references to Pinocchio and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (well, sort of fairy tale). I could picture the King’s henchman swirling around that little square, sniffing for children. Seems like you are having Christmas (shopping) in July, yes? I’m glad you opted for a second tour that day! Sehr gut.

    My last Sneeball was moister than the first one I had. Part of a day is TOO SHORT A TIME in Rothenburg. Last fall I spent 4 days on my 5th visit

      It was waaaaay too short! We wanted to try climbing the wall and doing a few other things, but we'll have to save that for another visit!! :P

    That clock display on the square is for sure one of the most underwelming one's ever seen. 😂
    Your dessert is litereally translated as Treecake ( Like a log ( not a bombcake 😂) It looks tasty.

      It was relative to a Greek Festival due to the Olympics originating in Ancient Greece 776 BC to 393 AD then wasn't restarted again until 1896 ish. when Frenchman named Baron Pierre de Coubertin brought it back and other countries were so interested that he originally wanted it restarted in France but they talked him into going back to the origins. There was no "religious" connotation in events back then and never has. The people who had an issue with Dionysos Lenios which was celebrating the history of the Olympics and Greek God's, were from the U.S. To the best of my knowledge it was not a big issue with other countries. Especially since it also honored France History with bringing back the Olympics from Baron Pierre de Coubertin. It's all about the history of Greece and Olympics.

    Hey! Is it possible to rate the food out of 10? Your videos are great, but this would really be helpful in planning trips. God bless you!

    • @parodeejay
      @parodeejay  Месяц назад +1

      It's probably a bit much to rate each dish on a scale, ha ha... but we could probably just do a single score for overall food. Honestly, the food on this particular ship was some of the best and most thoughtfully prepared and presented that we've ever had, so we're probably at a 10 for this trip!! :D
