      @@Kzmotivo a complete robbery! I'm not going to go over MJ's stats compared to Malone's in 97, It was close, but MJ was the clear winner. But it wasn't as bad as Barkley taking it from MJ in 93. MJ was way ahead of Barkley in '93. That was the biggest MVP robbery for MJ. So he should have 7, actually correct that, he should have 8 MVPs.
      in '89 he averaged 32.5/8/8 shooting 54% with 3.0spg and 1.0 BPG. He was a scoring champ, total points leader, all NBA first team and defensive first team, and steals leader.
      Magic averaged 22.9/7.9/12.8 shooting 51% from the field. 1.4 SPG and 0.4 BPG.
      Magics assist per game were incredible, but MJ as a SG was averaging 8.0 APG that season and averaged more than 10 PPG than Magic, double his steals per game, and double his blocks per game. Jordan should have at least 8 MVPs.
      But regardless if he deserved them or not, the league could not keep handing him MVP after MVP after MVP. So if anyone got anywhere near him, they gave it to them to detract from any favoritism concerns for MJ. Even though he deserved all 8.

Even when he came back in 2001-03 I could still see an aged Jordan with that. Oh and one more thing never seen a game seven and 6-0 in finals. 10 scoring titles, all defensive team pretty much his entire career, could fly in the air, avg 30 40 and 50 in games and playoffs, and more. Dont forget Larry Bird himself said it was God disguised as Michael Jordan. Thats a legendary compliment from on the the greatest if not the greatest clutch shooter in NBA history besides Kobe.

    Michael Jordan is easily the most iconic figure in basketball history. The man is solely responsible for the global expansion of the NBA and the sport overall. I read somewhere that Michael Jordan chose a special way to prove to Doug Collins that he could still play. Michael Jordan is widely considered to be the greatest basketball player of all time. In fact, he's arguably one of the greatest athletes of all time. Age 41 is not old, perhaps, from an NBA league standpoint. I guarantee MJ scored far more points than the other teammates during both games.

      No , it’s Bill Russell and it’s not even close. This man played for an unappreciative home crowd who call him just as many racial slurs as the road team. In a year’s time, he won the NCAA championship, an Olympic gold medal and a NBA championship. His phone was wiretapped by the CIA for being an outspoken black athlete. His home was vandalized by racists who didn’t want a black family to own a home in their neighborhood.His influence off the court was more important than his impact on the court. He was the first black coach in a major North America sports league. His achievements on the court are many and he’s the only player to have his number retired by the entire NBA and the NBA finals MVP award is named after him. He and the rest of the NBA players introduced the game overseas long before Jordan was born. The Harem Globetrotters are the ones who started the introduction of the game to foreign nations. Without a Bill Russell or Wilt Chamberlain, there wouldn’t be a Magic, Bird , Jordan, Kobe or LeBron.

      He was genuinely good that first year on the Wizards before he got injured. People look back and gripe about his efficiency but the whole league was pretty inefficient. Early 2000s were rough at times. But you also still had more than the current small handful of guys who would shoot midrange jumpers so it was a fair trade off for the aesthetics of not seeing five-out offense generating two outcome basketball ("three or layup").

      Let's try a few examples to see what kind of grief he would get today. When his first child was born, he asked the press to not report it, because he wasn't married to the woman. They agreed not to report it. Later, it turned out he demanded she take a paternity test before he would acknowledge it was his. In his career, he had five paternity lawsuit claims from five different women. Not covered.
      Then there was all the 'spitting' incidents. The team had pastries delivered to the locker room, and Jordan would spit on them to make sure no one else ate them. The infamous pizza incident before the 'flu game,' he spat on all the pieces so his crew with him couldn't have a piece. Etc.

He’s also the only player to be selected to the All-Defense First Team, Win the scoring title, win the MVP, and the Finals MVP all in one season - he also accomplished that feat 4 times. In three seasons (95-96, 96-97, 97-98) he never missed a single game. He’s the only player to play 82 games in three different decades and has more 82 game seasons played than Curry, LeBron, and Durant - combined. He was selected to 9 All Defense First Teams (which means he was the best defender at his position 9 times) and for every single one of those selections he won the scoring title (10 scoring titles in total - a record, only Wilt comes remotely close). He’s the only player to win a scoring title and a defensive player of the year award in the same season. I can keep going. LeBron is 6’9 barefoot, he’s closer to a center than a guard. The fact that his field goal percentage is only half a percentage point better than Jordan, is not a good look. And LeBron has to rest on defense, in order to maintain his offensive efficiency. He hasn’t played real defense on a consistent basis since at least 2015. And unlike Jordan, LeBron - at 6’9 - NEVER in his 21 season has recorded 100 blocked shots in a single season. Jordan did it twice despite being 4 inches shorter. I can keep going.

      @@chrisavalos1873 yea but the truth is if u come out of retirement just to lockdown the nba...not once but three times ur the goat... them same youngsters never seen Kareem play nor did LBJ so the day someone else could do that than there's a debate...new competition was in the league when he won the second three...if he didn't retire there wasn't no team that could stand a chance...7 or 8...& also that's why everybody compares competition to MJ no one else that says it all

    Kobe was a great player but Mj and Kobe still 2 different players. No matter how much you try to compare them. To me Mj 69 game was better than Kobe 81. Rip Kobe

    • @jtremaine23
      @jtremaine23 Год назад

      True because MJ also had 18 rebounds and 6 assists compared to Kobe’s 6 rebounds and 2 assists.

      It's amazing how people are so deceiving. Jordan's 69 points and rebounds were in over time where he padded his stats. I wonder why you fail to mention this?

    • @jtremaine23
      @jtremaine23 Год назад +1

      @@chrisavalos1873 Even with OT, MJ played still took less shots than Kobe (37 to 46). He also took less 3's (6 to 13). He took 3 more FTs though. But if we take away OT, MJ still had 61pts, 16 rebounds & 6 assists and the Bulls only won by 4 while the Lakers won by 18. MJ got the clutch rebound and hit clutch FTs.
      How is a player scoring 81pts without OT not padding his stats but a guy scoring 69pts in OT is padding?!? That doesn't make sense and the true deception.

      12 free throws? He would definitely play mostly in the post-id say 17pts per game

    The one factor in my opinion, that i never hear anyone mention, that separates MJ from LeBron in the GOAT conversation is the fact that Jordan’s bag contains an unstoppable technique
    - The shimmy, over either shoulder, fadeaway/pump fake step through shot made him unstoppable
    No matter what, Mike could get off a reliable, consistent, basically unguardable, high percentage shot whenever his team needs a bucket; while LBJ however, just doesn’t have that in his bag.

    Here's another aspect that I really don't hear anybody bring up about MJ. After leaving the Bulls, If winning another championship was really that important to MJ he would have picked a more talented title contending team, the fact that he still had the skill set to play at a MVP caliber level but chose the Wizards!? And the fact he cared if Coach Collins still thought he could play and factor his age and with all that he had already accomplished, he still got in the gym worked out all night, no sleep and killed two teams in back to back... C'mon man! I Love Kobe and LeBron but that right there is God level. I more than anything admired MJ's tough mentality and killer instincts. I Know for a fact if it was still about championships and rings MJ would have had more even in his 40's

      why mj did came back? do you remember the world trade center tragedy? Jordan donated his 2 year salary to those people got affected by the tradegy. that is the reason why MJ was comming out of retirement
