I agree. When social backlash does come our way detachment becomes key. It allows us to analyse the reason for that person making said claim or hurtful remark.

For me learning about that difference was astounding it was like wearing a shoe that doesnt fit quite right and then finding the perfect fit that explains my entire life. INTP was perfect fit. It wasnt like reading a horoscope and finding some things that apply to you rather it was like finding everything that applies to you. Yes I too struggle with confidence even in subjects that I excelled at in school. I had teachers and professors tell me all the time that I needed to be more confident in ideas. The "high" keeps coming in my opinion when you get some external validation. Once you see that something you are doing is being appreciated, it gives you some confidence to keep going. For example I am trying to workout as much as possible. When I go in the store and other places now I notice more woman giving me a catching glance. So when I am getting some kind of validation that something I am doing in my life is working, I try to continue that (I don't let myself get distracted). Thanks for watching and hope that helps!

I can TELL you tons about it and relationships but it's the APPLYING it. How do we get ourselves to apply our knowledge? That would be very helpful. Thanks.
It is not easy you have to learn to use your Ti to overide your other cognitive functions. Step out of the Si comfort, do something for yourself (rejecting Ni critic). You are smart and probably know deep down what needs to be done you just have to MAKE yourself apply it. Thanks for watching!
I would test as INFP too for the longest time, but it really bothered me. As I began to grasp the cognitive functions, and compared myself to a typing chart, it was clear that I was/am INTP. I realized that I was projecting certain things that I was was weak at (or aspired to be) in the tests.....which is basically lying on the test. Of course, it always ended up as INFP. I have been typed by several friends who are well versed in MBTI as INTP as well as many tests, when I answer accurately come out to INTP.
I know that I have some amazing abilities but I keep on procrastinating things, and I feel like I am not worthy enough. I have all these plans for the day but all I do is watch youtube. And I know this is such a stupid problem because it will be solved as soon as I do something productive, which makes things worse.
I'm exactly like you. But this guy has an quote that I've spent quite a bit of time unpacking: "If you cant solve it, no one can" This quote inspired me to look at my life critically, and to frame some of my shortcomings not as my doom, but problems to be solved. Anything less than this level of examination is death for an INTP, and I've been dying for far too long.
I have been training Myself to give Structure to my days, Every day (which is something I don't naturally do). To do so, I used 2 free apps : Tasks app & Google KEEP Notes to Create my Ideal daily Habit & Routines List (Morning - Lunch - Afternoon - Evening) + my daily "To do" List that I remind myself to follow (It is a work in progress, but I am determined to live my Best Life ! : ) I have put a lot of thinking into finding ways to add BALANCE to my daily Life, and to get into concrete Action to create an Epic Life for myself, on my own terms. Balance to move forward on my goals, to recharge my energy, to live in a clean & organized environment, to have more control over my life. So I Make sure to create Balance between my daily Mental & Physical Tasks & Activities by taking a Pomodoro break every hour (25 minutes is too short for me). - I set my timer to ring Every Hour to take a break from what I'm doing. I switch activity from a work task to a house task, then back again to continue my work or mental task. Rince & Repeat. It works great for me, but I had to add it to my "To do" list every day to remind myself to set my phone Alarm to take a Pomodoro break every hour during the day ! Using technology has made a HUGE difference in my Life. I wish you the same : )
Years ago I would see adds on dating sites from women looking for men with confidence. I would wonder, confidence in what? Over all I never felt very confident, but when I broke my life as a whole down into all of the activities that I participated in and all the responsibilities I had at work into bite size pieces I realized that I had loads of confidence. I also had passion. That passion pushed me harder than anything to become even better than others which in return brought respect from colleagues, friends and competitors. I struggle with perfection, I believe that it is attainable, but at what cost. Many years ago I figured all I needed to do was do better than the next person and that would leave room for improvement in the future.
Thanks a lot for the explanation. I really like you made it so relatable to INTP. This is definitely much more helpful compared to random MBTI/personality analysis videos from INTP perspective
Idk much about cognitive functions but I agree with finding a solution for a problem but because it’s out of your comfort zone you don’t do it, and I think that’s the biggest problem for me as an intp.
Listening to your intro felt like my brain speaking not someone I never met, if you do read this and I wish you do i really want to be friends with you
i agree with being able to solve problems while most people are dumbfounded as to what the solution might be. perhaps, the solution is this cycle: (1) go Ti God-mode (2) take action (3) loosen up a bit while you evaluate the results of the action (remember not to take things too personally or seriously as per feedback) (4) recalibrate as necessary hope it helps
Why don't you create a discord so we can interact to each other? That would be a great idea. Would enjoy talking to people who share the same personality as me. They are quite rare, special to some extent.
This is what happens: I bring an airtight argument to contest an established idea. Get mocked by xSxJs who don't even try to contest my argument, instead trying to attack me and strawmanning. I get fed up and leave. They win.
Depending on this situation I usually wouldn’t tell them out right my stance because they see it as me “arguing” with them. If I see them hesitate in any way I try and brainwash them little by little to see my point so they’ll think it was their idea/revelation. Basically I stroke their ego so they’ll think their winning the argument and that I’m bending to their will. Being underestimated makes my life so much easier.😌
At first try i also got tested as an istp and i couldn't decide for so long if i'm an intp or istp but after that whenever i took the test i always got intp, and now it seems really true
Those tests are utterly unreliable With reasoning like that, you're probably not an INTP. "It seems really true" is a largely meaningless statment to an INTP, and not something it's easy to belive an INTP would say except to indicate that something *isn't* true, as "It seems really ture" in no way means that it actually is.
me loosing my physique due to 4 children really did a number on my confidence. Got my stomach done and now i have the courage to start my own business. i’ve been working out too but i get bored 😑
I hope you can continue on your path to getting your confidence back. It may get boring but if you can convince your Ti hero that it is beneficial then you can make yourself do the things you need to do.
I have started to use my Ti to Convice myself to start doing the physical activities I know I need to do to have a good life. For exemple, I am more of a sedentary person who likes to do intellectual activities & who cherishes my comfort so it has been hard for me to stick to a training program. To overcome this problem, I have done a research & created a Google KEEP Note with : - Images & Facts about the Dangers of a Sedentary Lifestyle to scare me off - The Benefits of an Active Lifestyle - Exemples of the Easy, but consistent Activities & Mini Habits I need to do on a daily basis to Create the New Lifestyle I want to Feel good & the Results that come with it. Thanks for your channel ! I have discovered it yesterday, and I am finding it VERY interesting and to the point !
You really can't go forth willy nilly without worrying about social stuff in today's climate, with everyone lurking at every corner looking to be offended.
Im not sure if it calls a confident but when I decided something big I tend not to turning my decision back, bc before the decision happened I was thinking and debating on my head lots till I found a solid answer and then decided , majority of people see me as confident but they don't know I was killed myself in my own head before that
This joking around thing as not as easy as you make it out. Being teasing, jokey, witty in small talk is something I find super hard, but also something I don't like or appreciate generally as a trait. I don't respect people who use that to climb the social latter because it seems cheap and shallow.
I try to switch between LOGIC and Take it all as a joke-mode. When going out the second mode is a must. At work I am still trying to find the right script. The Take it all as a joke-mode started as a survival strategy. The hard thing is going from LOGIC to the other mode on issues I take really personal at work.... WIP.
When we are Not in the presence of "MBTI Thinkers", Learning to keep it light, non serious, non direct, non critical, non solution oriented nor work related is a MUST, and we can learn to do it with practice. Why should we learn & practice this ? The goal is not to go up the ladder, but Mostly to avoid being rejected, being despised or even worst becoming an Outcast. Most People close down when we are too serious & impose our witt, logic & knowledge upon them. Also, most people are not focused on the "Ti Thinking Mode" like we are most of the time. They don't enjoy it as much as we do. I remind myself often that even though we are programmed to be in this mode as Ti Heros, (and it may seem that everyone is like us), they are absolutely not. If we want to enjoy being in the presence of others & want them to appreciate us too, we may have some New Communication & Social Skills to Learn & Practice. Here is my 2 cents on that : MY SOLUTIONS : I remind myself of these daily & practice them as often as possible : - Stop putting so much pressure on Myself - Listen More / Talk Less - Look at people, Show interest, Smile often - Let go of the Need to think so much all the time, & enjoy the moment with others (I don't need to permanently become somebody else, I just need to switch mode temporarily to be able to relate in an enjoyable way with people that are different from me (and there are many ! I am the minority here as an INTP) - Dedramatize, be more Tolerant with people that are not MBTI Thinkers, and who prefer naturally (as their dominant functions) to have light, harmonious or fun encounters - When going out or when I'm not in the presence of MBTI Thinkers, Keep it mostly in Light, non direct, non critic, non teaching mode (there is a time & place for this). Get out of my head, and Temporarily Choose the Light, Agreeable or fun Mode : • Let go of my Serious, Critic, Conscious, Growth & Solution oriented mode • Show that I'm open to others, Keep it Light : I have nothing to Teach them at the moment, nothing to help them solve or fix. Most non MBTI Thinkers (aka Feelers) l are not open to my unsolicited insights, critics, solutions & teachings - Remember that I have my Platform just for that) • Be open & curious to the next unexpected little surprises • Be Witty & Funny, Enjoy the moment • Put my Quest aside for a moment & Give myself a little loose on intellectual expectations about others, laugh Easily at their funny comments • Be present in the Now with my fellow human beings, be benevolent, kind & curious about who they are & what makes them tick, and enjoy their presence for a moment
ENTJ, INTJ, and possible ESTP but not for sure on that one. HOWEVER just because they may have better stacks DOES NOT mean that our Ti/Ne can't beat them every time. Its just about getting over those pesky other functions
@@intpsurvivalguide2473 when you say beat them, do you mean in an argument? So they have a better stack for arguing? I though you where saying in general, like better for life.
@@intpsurvivalguide2473 yes I know, I'm not judging, I'm just trying to understand why so many people think 16 personality types are not enough when they just hear about it. : )
I have put a lot of thinking into finding ways to add BALANCE to my daily Life, and to get into concrete Action to create an Epic Life for myself, on my own terms.
I wish you the same : )
Very true, thank you.
Hit the nail on the head!
Thanks a lot for the explanation. I really like you made it so relatable to INTP. This is definitely much more helpful compared to random MBTI/personality analysis videos from INTP perspective
This video actually gives me confidence thank you !
Good to hear. Don't let it be a one time psyche-out experience continue to be confident and make it a habit. Thank you for watching!
Idk much about cognitive functions but I agree with finding a solution for a problem but because it’s out of your comfort zone you don’t do it, and I think that’s the biggest problem for me as an intp.
Listening to your intro felt like my brain speaking not someone I never met, if you do read this and I wish you do i really want to be friends with you
Thank you!
i agree with being able to solve problems while most people are dumbfounded as to what the solution might be.
perhaps, the solution is this cycle:
(1) go Ti God-mode
(2) take action
(3) loosen up a bit while you evaluate the results of the action (remember not to take things too personally or seriously as per feedback)
(4) recalibrate as necessary
hope it helps
Taylor and guys, do you think that the symptoms of ADHD are the same as INTPs but maybe not mature or confident one? What do you think?
Why don't you create a discord so we can interact to each other? That would be a great idea. Would enjoy talking to people who share the same personality as me. They are quite rare, special to some extent.
Yeah I've never been on discord so I don't know too much about but I'd be down.
Mahn.🤝 Let's meet at your latest video when I reach there.
my first time was istp just like you but after i figure out that im intp
It must happen more than I think
This is what happens:
I bring an airtight argument to contest an established idea.
Get mocked by xSxJs who don't even try to contest my argument, instead trying to attack me and strawmanning.
I get fed up and leave.
They win.
Don't let them win. Keep giving them your unrelenting logic. Thanks for watching!
You have to convince SJ s from your person. After that they will always listen to you. Yes, it's annoying :/
I’m inclined to let them be wrong. They’ll find out eventually. 🤷♂️
So true I haven't met many people who typed as the correct thing
me loosing my physique due to 4 children really did a number on my confidence.
To overcome this problem, I have done a research & created a Google KEEP Note with :
- Images & Facts about the Dangers of a Sedentary Lifestyle to scare me off
- The Benefits of an Active Lifestyle
- Exemples of the Easy, but consistent Activities & Mini Habits I need to do on a daily basis to Create the New Lifestyle I want to Feel good & the Results that come with it.
Thanks for your channel ! I have discovered it yesterday, and I am finding it VERY interesting and to the point !
You really can't go forth willy nilly without worrying about social stuff in today's climate, with everyone lurking at every corner looking to be offended.
Lol so true can't even say a simple opinion or observation anymore
Im not sure if it calls a confident but when I decided something big I tend not to turning my decision back, bc before the decision happened I was thinking and debating on my head lots till I found a solid answer and then decided , majority of people see me as confident but they don't know I was killed myself in my own head before that
Plz make a video on the common extravert types we meet in the world and how to get along with them in various work roles.
I just came back to the channel and upvoted this without realizing it was my comment in the first place!
I needed that
thank u man thank u so much
This joking around thing as not as easy as you make it out.
Here is my 2 cents on that :
MY SOLUTIONS : I remind myself of these daily & practice them as often as possible :
- Stop putting so much pressure on Myself
- Listen More / Talk Less
- Look at people, Show interest, Smile often
- Let go of the Need to think so much all the time, & enjoy the moment with others (I don't need to permanently become somebody else, I just need to switch mode temporarily to be able to relate in an enjoyable way with people that are different from me (and there are many ! I am the minority here as an INTP)
- Dedramatize, be more Tolerant with people that are not MBTI Thinkers, and who prefer naturally (as their dominant functions) to have light, harmonious or fun encounters
- When going out or when I'm not in the
presence of MBTI Thinkers, Keep it mostly
in Light, non direct, non critic, non teaching
mode (there is a time & place for this). Get out of my head, and Temporarily Choose the Light, Agreeable or fun Mode :
• Let go of my Serious, Critic, Conscious,
Growth & Solution oriented mode
• Show that I'm open to others, Keep it
Light : I have nothing to Teach them at
the moment, nothing to help them solve
or fix. Most non MBTI Thinkers (aka
Feelers) l are not open to my
unsolicited insights, critics, solutions &
teachings - Remember that I have my
Platform just for that)
• Be open & curious to the next
unexpected little surprises
• Be Witty & Funny, Enjoy the moment
• Put my Quest aside for a moment &
Give myself a little loose on intellectual
expectations about others, laugh Easily
at their funny comments
• Be present in the Now with my fellow
human beings, be benevolent, kind &
curious about who they are & what
makes them tick, and enjoy their
presence for a moment
Thank you so much
Thanks for watching!
What give me more confident is that i know even i made a really bad mistake it will become my life meme.
Me I thought I was mentally unstable because I could talk for days non stop which I think isn't intp-like 😅
who has the best stack if you don't think INTP?
nvm see that u answered it below
I agree,but it's easy to say...
The first time I tested my result had an "S" and I could not relate at all so I retook the test.
You say INTPs don't have the best stack. Then, which MBTI have a better stack in your opinion, and why?
ENTJ, INTJ, and possible ESTP but not for sure on that one. HOWEVER just because they may have better stacks DOES NOT mean that our Ti/Ne can't beat them every time. Its just about getting over those pesky other functions
@@intpsurvivalguide2473 when you say beat them, do you mean in an argument? So they have a better stack for arguing? I though you where saying in general, like better for life.
@@Ignasimp You seem to have somehow missing the big "DOES NOT" in the comment to which you replied.
Why can't so many people believe there are 16 personality types. I mean it's quite a lot.
That was just my mindset at the time. Thanks for watching!
@@intpsurvivalguide2473 yes I know, I'm not judging, I'm just trying to understand why so many people think 16 personality types are not enough when they just hear about it.
Im not sure but I think it may come from the place of wanting to be unique and not wanting to be just like all the people in their type.
The only thing that irks me is that word "should".
There's actually one thing I disagree with. I don't believe Ti is necessarily the best hero. Every hero has its advantages and disadvantages and Ti is a very good function. I feel like I'm lucky to have it but thinking it's the best hero function ever is a bit arrogant.
I tested more than 5 times And
It's INTP-T 😑🔨
Thank you so much it's a great help 😭😂😭😂😭
did u ever think to weponise that Si properly bc if we can build healthy happits and develop productive habit we can be really productive
"weaponising habits" in short
As an INTP i mus corect yur speling eror. Backgrond*
If I have confidence I become "egotistical and rude" according to my horseface mom
we use ni alot beside ne, in socionics its called demonstrative functiob, diving into a theory
