Came back to this after 2 years now back when I worked in collision repair, for 10 years wet sanding cars by hand in 40°F weather, I finally left my job to do my dream and become a hydroelectric plant electrician and with hardwork become a supervisor in the next 10 years. When I first ran across this video I was in a shelter with my three children, I was so depressed and felt like giving up…. I would binge watch this video, like les brown lived in my head rent free for months and not even six months later I moved into my own apartment, I moved on and haven’t looked back since … my message to anyone who’s reading my testimony is don’t stop… believe in yourself and the minute you get to your goals don’t forget to celebrate … be grateful and keep on pushing to the next version of yourself. Life is one obstacle after the next, in the end celebrate the little stuff and always have faith. Things get better and I love you ❤❤❤❤❤❤

My dad had me watch Les Brown as a boy. The quote I remember most that he said was, "It's better to be prepared for an opportunity and not have one than to have an opportunity and not be prepared." I have referred back to that so many times and share it with people often. Les was a big influence on me growing up.

You really changed my life, God Bless. I grew up as a sharperd in the Rural of Africa Lesotho. I never had a chance to go to school because i had to take car of my 2lil brothers n 3 sisters. One of my sister that i took to school taught me how to count, read and write. Without my sidter i couldn't have a chance to hear Les Brown. I moveD to urban area to seek a better job.. I worked at car wash as my first job..after listening to Les Brown i started a small tuck shop, um now on the next step owning a supermarket...

I’ve been hungry my entire life... at 8 years old, I woke up and my young eyes realized that my family was poor. We lived in the heart of the ghetto, East Baltimore to be more specific. It was then I realized I wanted more out of life, I wanted something different. At that early age I knew I had to push beyond what was expected of me. My parents did the best they could and gave the shirts off of their backs... the food out of their mouths in order to push and instill the hunger, the thirst and drive to be greater in a world that was set up by design for people of color, minorities and less fortunate to never move past the spaces and places they designated us to be. Even when I fell off the path that had been instilled within me, the words of my parents rang inside my head , and I willed my self to get up, and keep going. There is no other option in my life but to keep going to get to the next level... failure is NOT an option .

I’m from baltimore and until the age of 12 I grew up in West Baltimore’s Lexington terrace Projects with my 4 bro 1 Sis and mom and dad. LTP was so bad they razed them in the 80’s. Today I’m an Asst Bishop over 11 churches, a retired Army Officer for legal analysis for the federal government owner of two businesses, writing a book to help students succeed and married with kids and grand kids who love me to life. Life has a lot to offer you...focus and take it.
Thank God for these people like Les Brown, Gary Vee, Jordan Peterson, and others. You guys have forever changed the trajectory of my life, and I have no way to pay it back other than to pay it forward.

Mr. Les Brown reminds me so much of my Mom when she spoke to me as a young child. I finally realized after listening to Mr. Les Brown that my Mom was truly my motivational speaker without realizing it way back when!

And with the blessing of having a wonderful son and daughter, his words and teachings represent the bedrock to my children's mental development as young children in their academic lives. I love you less brown, watched this 2 years ago and now at 23, finished my studies, working as a software engineer in a very fulfilling job and making a good living and still planning on how I’ll become the most valuable person to make more in all areas of my life, still struggling from time to time but I feel terrifically positive and optimistic about my life.

This audio saved my life. When i was at my lowest 2 years ago i was 415 lbs addicted and in the slums. This brought light into the darkness. Les brown o am the one. I am currently 200 lbs and im HUNGRY. income is no longer an issue and i am in the process of creating a speaking career . i was given another chance .

I'm afraid he won't see the same benefit. In life you must search for help. You cannot be handed a corrective path. At least that is what worked with me. I keep coming back to this video from my original view when I felt like I had nothing. Now I come back to it when I have everything and I cry every time just remembering where I came from.
