Must the black wire be earthed to the body ?
Yes! The black wires need to be grounded to the body
What is the item called , the one all the cables are connected to. You are holding it on your left hand at 17:47.
That was the piece we couldn’t find anywhere and the one I had in my hand was the original one on the car…
@@theroygarage i see, well thank you for replying and fantastic video. Made this process look simpler than what I told it would be.
@@SpicyHabanero24 sorry we couldn’t be more help… And thank you 🙏🏻 we were a little intimidated trying to create this Rear wire harness but as soon as we finished it, it really wasn’t that bad. I’m assuming you need to build one? Lol
@@theroygarage i do, the tailight wiring on my camino is really bad, so I'm going to try and build one. I'm pretty sure i have that piece just have to look for it. Also, y'all should make this harness and sell it. I was only able to find one online at a ridiculous price.
@@SpicyHabanero24 what year?? I have a bunch of wiring equipment now lol we probably could haha it should be just above the frame on the drivers side kind of behind where the gas cap is . You should be able to find some wires and follow it up to the connection
Luckily I'm doing this for a 79 elco so maybe I can copy you verbatim lol. Also work at a electrical warehouse so might be free ;)
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 for the win!! Nice! You should have no problem! But let us know if you have any questions!
It looks like work but fun l hope
It felt really good when we were done and the lights worked 😂🤣😁
Did you just say Jake was the brains of the operation?!
He’s the engineer and the detail orientated partner lol I’m more big picture so he made sure I was using the right size wires, connectors, and j-hooking lol
I never would have J-hooked anything without him and probably would have used the wrong size connectors too 😂🤣 he saves a lot of headaches!
I didn’t have to say it 🤷♂️ haha 😂
