- I finally got around to doing my multi training!
Join myself and Josean 'Papa' Lozada from Epic Flight Academy in New Smyrna Beach as we 'fail' engines over and over again! This was a lot of fun!
Enjoy the flight!

Everyone looks forward to flying in a multi engine only to find the majority of the training time on a single engine.
😂
Good one😂
My CFi told me that flying a multi-engine is exactly the same as flying a single engine. The only difference is, you’re training for an engine failure
@@d.n.3652 pretty much
Like when your CFI is Lewis Hamilton 😂
Great video man!
Lmao glad we all feel that way about riddle 😂. Never skip leg day! My commercial multi ride is coming up. Thanks for the great video .
I love how the Seminole pushes you back in your seat. I should get my MEI before the end of the year myself, just doing the last bit of flight prep. Great video!
General Rendar you should push the throttles forward on a jet 😀
How was it?
@@alialmutairi8387 well flying a jet is plenty fun. The MEI was easier than expected but I didn't waste any time in between certificates so studying was a lot easier.
Great video, just loved the old woman with her gripes! Hoping to get my Multi add-on this year. As a 63 year old heart patient, it is a bucket list item for me.
Embry Riddle. You know how to get a Riddle graduate off your front porch?
Pay him for the pizza...
Working on my comm multi right now too so this video is great timing!
Nice! Good luck with it!
Never skip leg day
just got my mei in the seminole. did the mei for my initial cfi. you will love flying the seminole! get those engine emergencies down to automatic response!
The DA42 with FADEC was so much simpler to get the CMEL rating in 🤣 Enjoy the new rating brother!
Thanks guys for the video... I can not express how much this helped, with out that damn HOBBS meter running!
You’ve got a cool last name man.. only geniuses have that one ;).. Glad you found the video helpful!
One guy at my flight school said "I don't know why they call it 'multi-engine training', we only ever fly with one" lol
Comm Multi Checkride this thursday! Loved the vid!
Great video my man, intense.
Great job...😎
Back in the days Embry-riddle used to recruit all instructors coming out of SFB
THE SWEET DAYS OF COMAIR DELTA CONNECTION...
Sweet video man! Really enjoyed it. Keep up the great work on the videos and the work with those 4 stripes!
Felix Wilson thanks brother!
Can recognize that puertorican accent!🇵🇷
The great Papá Lozada!!
Raul Marquez the one, the only
at least he got the 4 stripes on.... omg
Very interesting to watch this, very well done. Done the exact same training myself! My feet didn't like it
siggdude thanks man.. Yea especially during the VMC demo’s my leg was shaking a bit with the amount of pressure required on the rudder.. Great training though. Really enjoyed it
Not ANOTHER ONE!!😂 Great video man keep up the good work.
Adam Caswell honestly that’s my favorite part of the video haha thanks brother!
Amazing video mate ! If I had know you were going to fly in KEVB I would have taken a 172 from my school ( PEA ) and say hi on the frequency haha xD
Aviator Adventure haha next time man! Glad you enjoyed it
COOOOL
Well done👌👌
Lol it’s not the Riddle guys you gotta watchout for, it’s Phoenix East 😂. Congrats on the multi though!
The truth in this statement xD
excuse me sir, we PEA guys fly better than the riddle dudes.
@@sethking5421 Uhhhh noooooo. Trust me whenever 7R pattern is active, or at KEVB or KOMN or KFIN... the PEA guys always screw up radio comms and trust me the one deep voice guy at EVB hates them for that.
@@ryanryessir oh, huh EVB... I have never been there. PEA has a couple different flight schools. I go to the PEA branch out of KHWO, lol me and my piers at flight school do a good job on all that so maybe its just out of DAB.
TBH there is a guy with a deep voice at every airport that hates GA and has a bad attitude in general. X-D
Seth King oh okay! I didn’t know PEA had multiple locations. And KHWO is near my home city so I’d be more bias to y’all. But the one in DAB is not known to be in the best relations with controllers here 😂. Cheers from riddle 😊
Awesome video! How was your experience at Epic Flight?
Good to see the shirt and epaulettes I bought for you are being put to good use 😂
Zero Three Delta finally! Actually though not sure wearing a uniform for flight training is “good use”. Not even a professional pilot yet so why wear it?
LewDix Aviation Cuz it makes you look pretty 😁
Mate I have flown this planes serval times for my commercial Multi N417EP my favourite plane congrats anywaze Cher’s mia
Jamal Caan nice! All the planes I’ve flown at Epic are pretty nice.. I enjoyed my time there
Is it possible to train on multi engines instead of the regular single engine for a beginner pilot?
Ticked Off Sheikh I don’t think so, go in at the shallow end
Nice video. A good taste of that training for us.
So what kind of multi did you get? You clearly got your single-engine private, and commercial, and single-engine CFI all in a sequence. You could theoretically get a private multi certificate, right, but there wouldn't be a any point, because without a commercial ME, all you can do is fly yourself around in multi-engine airplanes, and you're not going to do that because it's really expensive? So I assume you got a commercial multi-engine; did you also get a MEI rating, or is that more training time than is worth it right now?
gevmage yea I did everything in a sequence, Private, instrument, commercial, CFI, CFII, now I added the multi engine onto my commercial. So I can now get paid to fly both single and multi aircraft.
Glad you enjoyed the video!
nice video !!!! :)
Jaguar79gt thanks Jags!
really would like to get a multi rating
Great video. Love the victory porno music at the end too
I did my discover flight at epic back in January. I'm working on my private pilots up in Michigan. What was your experience with Epic like?
that guy looks like lewis hamilton
I was gonna say the same thing! Haha
I do my training at Epic!
What do you think of it?
@@superbeastie I’m a fan I’m only on my private but I do enjoy the way they’re scheduling is done with classes and such
@@tylermartin9553 im working on my private up in michigan doing part 61. But my plan is to come do the rest at epic.
Epaulets and uniform shirt in a Seminole 🤣🤣🤣
Pathetic isn’t it? Lol
Are you going to be an instructor forever or you're building time at the moment to work at the airlines?
I have a job with an airline, just have to get through the training which starts this month
Strenghts > Cutting Engines
Buddy never forget... Dead foot, dead engine. Your instruments do not give reliable readings on an engine failure. I talk from having a failure on a BE G58 with an engine failure. Believe me the instruments did not show me any changes.
That is correct. Why is looking at the manifold pressure gage a bad idea during an in flight engine failure?
The manifold pressure gage measures pressure inside the engine system.
When you have an engine failure, The manifold pressure is now reading outside pressure just like when you first get in the aircraft. This can give you a false indication of which engine is actually failed. Or be hard to tell if you do have an engine failure
Since when did Lewis Hamilton learn to fly??????
It tough being a student again huh
Aviate 1st weird going back to being told what to do.. A good experience for me though
In your Vmc demo I did not see you raise the dead.
Hold up i know him the guy wearing black shirt his from Puerto Rico
What happened to the videos with you and your girlfriend flying?
I hope he's teaching you to actually look over and verbally ask, "I'm verifying that I'm not about to shut off the wrong f&@$ing engine".
xillerrodriguez all the procedures I go through tells me which engine he has cut. Based on how the aircraft responds or doesn’t respond to my inputs.
@@LewDixAviation But at the end you still need to verify that your hand is on the correct lever.
"No No, your other left!"
If you wear the epaulets act like you deserve them...... FOI talks of professionalism great example of how not to talk. Signed Gold Seal
😂
Nice epaulets. A bit of fantasizing? :D
Midlife Flight no, he’s a flight instructor. Some schools require those uniforms
@@GSOaviator my school does
GSOaviator, I know. Me too. Just having fun.
Yeaaaa I wasn’t thrilled about having to wear a uniform.. But it’s a small price to pay for flying cool planes!
Too much talking. Engine failure-flows- Directional control-depending on position, try a restart- if not, secure the engine- return or land at the nearest AP.
Ok how about some English lessons for this MEI?
Afterwards, Lew said, "OK. Let's go grab some Jam Roly-Poly and custard.
Wow, uniform, hair cut instead of the squirrels nest you usually sport.....Where is the reaction video from Ollie? It should be a pisser.
John W “squirrels nest” hahaha you’re not wrong though. Got to clean myself up a bit lol
man, glad I didn't choose Epic. I think I might understand every 4 words this guy says. he insists you take it slow but he talks like an auctioneer who puts no effort into english.
Lewis, you just aren't as funny in the left seat. It seems there is nothing funny about losing half of your engines. Good job editing in the humor during the edit.
Hahaha thanks mate!
