    DJILBA August / September
Pronounced: Jill-bah. The second part of winter, usually the wettest and coldest time of the year, with clear ice-cold periods. Native potatoes were harvested and kangaroos, possums and emus hunted. Skins were tanned and prepared as clothing and bedding, as well as being made into carry bags for food, medicine and tools. Hunting gear was also prepared. A time of plentiful food.

I'm a Noongar man who doesn't know anything about our traditional calendar or ways of doing things. Thanks so much for these videos - they are very helpful!
