Always tough to lose in the playoffs, especially at home and when you've been as hot as the Celtics have been this year. Hopefully they adjust well and we're treated to some good Celtics basketball come game 2
You seem like a real Celtics fan so I'll put this gently....ya'll are about to get demolished by the BEST player in the league....Giannis is going back to back......but just know anyone in his way is getting the same so don't feel bad bro lol....he's seriously unstoppable
Bucks fan here, great game 1. Love the team you guys have put together. Bucks gave the Celtics a little bit of their own medicine in this one. Played very physical. Lots of respect for your team, they're young, talented and easy to root for. Seems like we're going to be watching these two teams go at it in the playoffs for the foreseeable future. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Good luck!
Jmun020 Very classy response from a Bucks fan. Your team is stacked and strong, some big dudes, and it took yesterday to be reminded of that as a Celtics fan. Looking forward to the rest of the series and see where it may take us. Curious when the series shifts to Fiserv Forum, NOT an easy place to play as a visitor.
@@mikedemirdjian9976 Well, our teams have had similar trajectories since drafting their respective franchise players (Tatum/Giannis, team is a perennial contender, not a traditional "super team") and I always liked Tatum's game going back to his Duke days. I really like your players and coach, I think the future is bright for the younger guys, Pritchard might be the white Curry and Timelord is gonna be a beast for a decade or so. Hopefully Horford and some of the vets get a ring before they hang it up. If there was a big market team I'd root for, I feel I would relate best with the folks of Boston as far as fan intensity goes. No matter who comes out of this series I will be pulling for the victor the rest of the way.
The Celtics were fine from the 3. They lacked poise, didn't use Williams effectively, didn't beat the Bucks to spots. I like the loss, shooting can be reset; they shot 28/84 for 33.3%, if they had shot 38% (35/90) they win the game. This is doable on any given night for Boston.
To be fair the bucks really couldn’t miss. Jrue especially was looking like a whole different offensive player. Jaylen brown missed so many open shots while guys like Grayson and pat hit theirs. Defense wise bucks were able to contain Tatum, Jaylen brown wasn’t getting the same attention and he bricked a lot that he makes.
@@jmlclarke99 jrue shot well from 3 but he did shoot 8/20. Bucks bench shot 6/12 from 3 on mostly open looks. That’s not anything crazy. It’s going to be tough to beat the bucks 4 times when they are such a battle tested team
The bucks were matching the intensity more aggressive disrupting the celtics offensives rethym and the celtics weren't doing a good job on excecuting the offense allowing the bucks attacking on both sides of the ball not screening not switching the defense fast enough and missed a lot of shots and lacking of poise.
I love sam but the issue with him is his defense. Even tho Payton is a liability, he at least has the speed to allow the help defense to come over. Sam will just get blown by. All I know is Payton missed like 3 wide open looks in a row. If it happens again next game I think then we should try nesmith and last resort sam.
The perimeter shot killed boston, bucks even utilized that during transition put back. Crazy unexpected rattle for celtics; most of there shots were contested as opposed to bucks

@@tyrecarter6028 yeah they took that many cause they couldn't go inside the bucks wouldn't let them. You prove my point fool. Bucks took it they know what the Celtics wanted to do and squashed them you a damn fool white boy
When a teams defense is designed to keep you out of the paint and force you into 3 point shots what do you expect?? The Celtics don't want no parts with them tall trees in the paint.. bucks are too big
Brick city, bucks defense was great, made us panic and rush our shots, we was not calm and cool, we was rushed and bullied, beat up. Im a Boston fan but from wat I seen they are bigger and stronger and the defense is better, I'm not delusional or a dumb fan boy, I analyze the game, it don't look good for us at all, game 2 will tell me absolutely everything I need to know

I’d rather this team lose a game or two especially losing at home just to get used to the feeling of coming back stronger

I thought that one stretch where Pritchard missed 3 straight (or was it 4?) 3 pointers was crucial.
This hurt. Onto Game 2, for me personally, it's a must win else it maybe tough to recover.

Everybody was scared to attack the basket with Giannis and Brook
he will have to block me everytime, attack yannis
as they should lmfao
@@cantstopme0057 yeah no. Keep servicing those guys, tho.

They fell in love with the 3 pointer for the first 3 qtrs

Damn, IME was apart of the nets team last year, you would think maybe he can take some knowledge from last year, the Celtics need some solid shooters
They should play sam hauser for opening those lanes Bcoz he is such a consistent shooter.

The bucks were intentional about their defence, picking up the ball handler full court throughout the game was intense!
physicality.. physicality.. physicality .. why did Theis get barely any court time?!?
did the celtics take the bucks best punch? we will find out tuesday.
No this wasn't their best offensively. And that's concerning.
And Giannis actually had a really poor shooting performance. Bucks has more offense.
Giannis missed like 7 layups and the Celtic killer is hurt.. the C's are lucky they didn't get blown out on their home floor
i think we can steal one at fiserv
It is possible because the C's have a good road record.. the bulls even stole one but when and if that actually happens that'll be the day.
