    These are the kind of discussions why I'm a paid subscriber of The Print! Dr Chipman not only gave a macro view of the geo politics , but also with great specificity. Seemed like he was willing to double click on any topic Mr Gupta brought up These are the kind of men you want in your government or at least advising the government Thank you for this The Print Team.

    I have a feel that Russia has taken advantage of the Ukraine war to offload or dispose of its aging stockpile of Soviet era weapons of mass destruction simultaneously testing its striking capabilities. And the Americans doing a similar exercise on their side. The non participant in this war also have important learnings to draw from. The true victim is Ukraine.

    • @ankanroy2931
      @ankanroy2931 2 года назад +1

      stupid as always lol. To get ride of their stockpile. They would recycle it, not reapir it for billion of dollars and use it in a war. At that price they would get new and better stuff.

    To say that Russia didn’t think of having air superiority in parallel with its inland thrust by its land forces is very difficult to digest. From the advent of the air age we have seen air dominance as key part of any war. From the First World War to recent afghan and Iraq war. I doubt Russia has deficiency of air assets to put on this offensive. There is more reason to this question as to why Russia isn’t having air superiority over Ukrainian air space. Or at least over Donbas and Luhansk region. Only time will tell.

    • @ashishmulchandani4072
      @ashishmulchandani4072 2 года назад

      what are u smoking? air superiority is key to giving a crushing blow; the US established air superiority pretty quickly in Iraq, and in the early stages of Barbarossa, the Germans had the air superiority and were able to dole out crushing blows cause of that. And air power just wasn't that relevant during ww1.

      I was thinking exactly the same thing. Never presents a balanced view. @ThePrint - why should the west think they can get involved in spreading "democracy" and "freedom" in Ukraine and not in Saudi Arabia? Did you ever bother to ask that? That is what caused the coup in 2014 and the conflict now. If that wasn't done, they wouldn't have had to think bout seizing Russian assets to feed the rest of the world, would they? @ThePrint - Are you trying to spin a narrative? Do your job and present both sides to inform, not to rally opinion. It is getting really annoying.

      @@shahrukhkotwal7125 till today I was not able to watch him not more than 10min. But there is a thing called listening to both sides. SG is not even the most neutral journalist either like everyone he has his biases. Do you think listening to only one side makes you wiser. Calling out names does not help. Western speakers said Russians are short of ammunition after one month, I am waiting for Russians to run out of ammunition. They claimed lysychansk is difficult to capture because it is on elevation. Russia took it in just a week. Wait for a month or two and you will see more cities falling to Russians. We all knew it was impossible to roll over ukraine or any country in 3 days. It will take almost a week for Russian tanks to reach kiev even if it is left open and unguarded

    This "guru" of yours probably is the worst expert on the topic - his narrow minded approach, heavily biased, Russophobic, and well, basically he is one of those who wants to see west as the center of power. His appearance on your programme seems like he is pushing the "western" narrative to this part of the world. So far this has been the worst guest I heard and definitely not worth the title of "guru", at least by me.
