I've done some shreddy covers throughout my RUclips career but this has got to be one of the most challenging ones I've ever done! I had a really fun time trying to nail these licks and it was also really interesting to see how they all work together to form that signature retro-sonic atmosphere. Awesome! This is like a version of the song from a reality where Jun Senoue performed the 3D Blast (Genesis) songs the same way he was able to perform the Sonic Adventure soundtrack's rock songs, similar to his remake of the Genesis/Mega Drive version of Green Grove Act 1's theme in Sonic Adventure, the remix was called "The Air...for Windy Valley".

This is what the Sonic Chronicles soundtrack should've been like! They reused this song, but the quality was inferior to the original.
I like it but i feel the solo at 1:00 shouldve been less focused on the rhythm. It's such a damn good piece to take away from that part.

So since converting to the Fluence pickup, how often do you find yourself switching voices? Do you stick with one? Do you use one voice for a full track and then switch for a different track? Or do you swap voices for different sections of a song?
I go with the high-output voice for anything distorted rhythm guitar unless the riff involves chords and the high output adds too much honk in the tone during the chords. For leads I was using low-output exclusively but I've recently been using the high output for the leads as well. I'm trying to decide which I like more (also depends on the tones you're running in to). Cleans is always low output.
+ToxicxEternity on the bridge pup, have you tried doing an a/b comparison of riffs? I mean everyone is always arguing the pros and cons of active vs passive and the fluence modern bridge does both sounds. Should in theory make one voice good for tight riffs and the other better for big chord and dynamics.
The music in most of the classic Sonic games are not songs. They are tunes. Songs have lyrics. Tunes don't.
Would be great if you played the Boss theme from Sonic 3D the first one or Volcano valley from Sonic 3D,the best songs of the game
