Don't let this distract you from the fact that Peli and Wolfy came across a taxi driver in distress and their initial reaction is to beat him, taze him, steal his taxi and proceed to drive it in a ditch, and just leave the poor guy in all around trauma so much so that the very sound of two Australians triggers his fight or flight response.
