We hear about new things and processes becoming automated almost every day. But what does that actually mean? Today, we will dive into Process Automation, so you can learn all about it for yourself.
What exactly does automation mean?
Automation is the use of largely automatic equipment in a system of manufacturing or other production processes.
This typically includes the use of PLCs, sensors, robots, and motors among many other things depending on the automated process.

I would call Process Automation something along the lines of what you guys call Analog Automation.
Flow rates, mixing, etc.

Agreed! The definition of "process automation" is different from Wikipedia (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Process_manufacturing), whereas it's named as "analog automation" from Realpars.
