Anna what you might have driven was altroz dca as altroz is not available with amt. and that could be the reason you felt the punch amt gearbox to be lethargic

Compared to the Grand i10 Nios AMT. Just a few more thousands and you can go for the most VFM automatic (IMO) in our market... The i20 Sportz iVT (CVT Gearbox) . Ticks most of the boxes and serves the purpose.

If driving a manual is not a problem pls do consider the grand i10 nios turbo. It's quick and one of the best in the segment. You will find it on sale right now due the facelift next yr. Comes with the same 1litre turbo engine similar to venue and i20 nline and makes 100HP 💨
I think i10 is a good option but once you drive the i20 dct or altroz dca i think you have driven the altroz dca because altroz doesnt get amt thats the reason you didn't like punch because amt is far backward than dca or dct
Even check Renault Kiger/ Nissan Magnite CVT which gives SUV feeling

Go for an ALTROZ DCT iturbo, best bang for buck gives good driving comfort and is much more stable at high speeds than the rivals, I've been driving an Altroz NA MT for 9 months now, and honestly speaking I've become a fan of the way the car drives and maneuvers❤
Also please have a look on Honda City V (4th gen) petrol cvt

Hello sriman. Tata intentionally avoid giving punch for test drives because of their poor gear box.Altroz has DCT gearbox and punch has AMT. We have a punch a in our family and I drive grand i10. I suggest go for grand i10 as it gives you peace of mind and adequate safety for city usage and reliability. Consider altroz as next best option but be prepared for some quality issues or dealership issues.

I own I 10 nios sportz AMT, it’s been 3years I’m driving this car it’s so good and easy to maintain, you can blindly go with it Sriman and in city you will get 13 to 15 km per liter normal drive
