Quite frankly I don't have the cocky confidence that the two of you have. Call me gun-shy, but I'm still in the camp of show me, once again, that the Chargers can take care of business. Win the games that they are supposed to win. Sure, the Panthers are not a great team, and they're now dealing with injuries to some of their best players. But this ball bounces in funny ways, as do the games. But Brandon Staley is no Jim Harbaugh. We will see good coaching, good adjustments. So, I'm cautiously optimistic. And IF (big if) our O-line can provide Herbert the time and protection, and IF our receivers can get some downfield separation, it would sure be nice to see an elevated passing game. A dominant performance will help team confidence going into Pittsburgh.
I’m not too sure our feelings are than far apart, as Jake and I both said many of the same things you are saying here. We shall see how good this team is on Sunday! - Dan
As a chargers fan my whole life, seeing ALMOST great teams, and WE SHOULDA teams… as much as I’m happy for the win this past week, I’m not content. I get it, the Raiders defense is definitely top tier, but if we want to have success regarding a division championship and/or a run at the Super Bowl, we need to capitalize in the red zone. Field goals aren’t enough. I know that sounds nitpicky but I don’t care. As a competitor, domination against teams we should be dominating is the only success. GO BOLTS⚡️⚡️⚡️

I honestly think its just preaseason rust and Herbert getting comfy with the offense more. He will only get better as the season goes on. Plus Herbert never had the supporting cast that it looks like he might finally have now.
We knew Harbaugh's focus was going to be running the ball. I'm not expecting Herbert having the massive statlines hes had the last few years. The panthers have by far the worst roster in the league, theres no excuses for not cooking them
I gotta just be realistic the record against panthers is bad I just hope chargers ball okay a clean game they stick to just a balanced team . They need to put pressure quick on Bryce and not let up . Cause Bryce is very talented an can take a game over if given the chance . This isn’t an easy game for the chargers .
You guys are generous… I’ll say 40-3, Panthers offense are way worse than the Raiders. Herbert is gonna be playing target practice with this receiver group to ready up for the rest of the season.

There’s no need to harp on Herbert only having 144 yards. He had a good , efficient game and he didn’t turn the ball over. He did his job perfectly

Efficiency is exactly how Harbaugh rolls. Look at the QB numbers from The last few years at Michigan. Not gaudy, but they won 💯

I would manage expectations. Harbaugh only scores enough as necessary, and hides the rest. But should win handily
