The Pixel is so much better than the iphone in every single way, except for water resistance: •The pictures and videos are better; It does make more pleasing photos with great colors, better stabilization, and better dynamic range. It's the best ever rated smartphone camera by dxo mark, and it really does take some stellar looking photos thanks to the snappy hdr+ processing. •The AI is better with Google Assistant, often answering questions two to three times faster than Siri. It also sounds more natural, can hold a conversation, has a better personality imo, and even understands context. •The android os is better and more intuitive, with more features and functionality. To be honest I find pure stock android simpler than ios, but I guess it just depends on what you are used to, and its more customizable, enough said. I can make my phone look like how I want it look, not like how a company thinks my phone should look. I even have the ability to play my old nes and gameboy games with ease whenever i want. I can download songs for free on my phone whenever i want. Also, you can find a lot of apps on the play store for free, that cost money on the app store. There's even entire categories of apps that the app store will never have. There's just so much more freedom with android in general. •It's just as secure as ios, and it gets updated very often as soon as the updates come out. •And the reception is better as well; You'll have more bars of an LTE connection. •There's 24/7 support built into the phone, easily found in the settings with a swipe to the right, where you can chat with someone to help you. •It's very fast and snappy without any lag, opening most everyday apps faster than the iphone. •There's no camera bump. •There's app shortcuts, that can be made into individual app icons. •There's a headphone jack. •There's fast charging. •There's a google wallpapers app with cool moving landscape wallpapers built into the phone. And other amazing wallpaper categories. •It has better battery life. (amazing) •It has a higher resolution, more efficient amoled display, with deeper blacks and bolder colors. •It has a better screen to bezel size ratio. •There's free unlimited storage for photos and videos at original quality on google photos. •The phone stands out, where most people would either have an iphone or samsung. People would be intrigued by what phone you have. And it looks much better in person, than in video. •And if you truly think the phone is ugly, then slapping a D brand skin on it will make it look pretty dope. Especially the marble skin on the white pixel. •And also, you can expect a lot more features to come next year on the pixel 2. •Plus, from what numerous reviewers have been saying, the user experience on the pixel is amazing and smooth, but it's hard to explain, and you have to actually use the phone to understand.
You have a point, but remember this is Stock Android, not a bloatware. This may beheave different in Samsung and all other brands. This is a officially Stock and unique iOS device from Apple vs officially Stock and unique Android from Google.

I mean nearly the same looks, same price, same level of innovation (which is barely any), no expandable storage like the Iphone, not waterproof UNLIKE the Iphone. The only thing the pixel has going for him is android, and apple even outweighs that with a processor that eats any Android phone alive. I can be considered an android fan but between these two, the Iphone crushes the pixel.

I watched both of your videos, hands down the Pixel XL is better. Apple can suck my cherries for omitting the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 ^^ Their supposed sapphire lens covers are actually a thin layer of sapphire over glass which is not as scratch resistant or strong as pure sapphire. My ancient 14 Kyocera Brigadiers whole screen is made of pure sapphire, and it has QI wireless charging, unlike the iPhone!

Lorenz Barcelona the headphone jack isn't anything special, I already said the screen which isn't even that much better anyways, and you can replace default apps anywhere on any os. There are 100s of apps for every stock app in iOS so what's ur point?
Frank Lopez many people use the headphones jack. That's not a niche. You cannot set third party apps as default on iOS, take for example map links: they only ever open in Apple maps, not Google maps.
Tom Ient in one to two years, no phone will have any headphone jacks. And replacing default apps is a niche feature. It's called opening google maps and searching there instead of searching in safari and clicking a link

So. . . I have always loved android and down-talked iPhone for many reasons. After many reviews, and getting my hands on the Pixel XL and iPhone 7 Plus I purchased the iPhone. I have to say I'm for once beyond impressed! The last several days I have been ridiculed by friends for my dramatic change in opinion. The only thing I can say is it's been a wonderful experience with the exception of making ringtones. Having to link to iTunes for your ringtone that was created on the phone in the first place is redundant and all around annoying, but you do get used to it.
not only is the headphone jack on pixel (in contrast to to iPhone 7) handy for most headphone users, but having it means you can continue using your phone with Credit Card Readers, splitters, and 4-ring/3.5 mic units.

I picked up a pixel on launch day after returning my Note 7. Kept it for a week and returned it and went back to my Note 5. After watching the review and this video I'm strongly considering going back to get the Pixel XL again. I just like the native apps like the voice recorder and the calendar on galaxy devices. If I could have those 2 on the Pixel, I'd be happy

And even if they do, it's still an industry wide standard. that should be included in a six hundred dollar flagship. There's nothing to debate. I am getting a new phone tomorrow (from a Nexus 6p) and I have never been so conflicted! I think you may have swayed me to stick with Android and go to a Pixel. I actually LOVE my Nexus and the only reason why I'm "upgrading" is because it's battery life has seemed a bit faulty after the last 3 months. It's camera is amazing. Everything works seamlessly but the battery is killing me! That being said, I've seriously been thinking of finally getting an iPhone. I do have several Apple products (probably more than most iPhone users) BUT i've just never been a fan of their oS in terms of their phones. I have an iPad and their phones just always seemed like iPads that could make phone calls. However, I also don't customize THAT much on my Android to make that a selling point to stick with Android either. I NEVER use 3rd party launchers as they always seem or look generic so I usually just stick with whatever the stock one is. One thing that instantly made me 2nd guess going to an iPhone was your photo comparisons. I've seen REALLY good iPhone 7 pics BUT side by side with the Pixel there's just no comparison. The Pixel is just sharper and more detailed looking. The headphone jack is also something that's not a must because I always listen to my music on my iPod anyway and have both bluetooth and wired headphones depending on the occasion where not having a jack wouldn't make or break it for me. BUT I do like the included usb connector concept. I think the only thing is really cosmetics as the Pixel just looks so basic. Even compared to my Nexus 6p, the Pixel looks like an old generation. Then I think, "I'm going to get a case for it any way, so does the outside of it really matter if internally it's awesome?" Ugh, I'm just so conflicted. Prior to watching your video I was all set to get an iPhone 7 plus tomorrow. NOW I'm thinking I'm gonna get a Pixel. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO! o_O

Actually I have been become an Android user for around 5 years and after watching both comparisons, I decided to change my android to an iPhone in the near future. That's because almost all of the advantages on the iPhone are an important thing for me, with in the other hand only camera shortcut and volume thingy advantages from the Android that I really care. Yesterday my Google Pixel XL nearly caught FIRE while using my Verizon car charger. My Verizon store didn't have inventory for an immediate replacement. The Google phone was losing its charge, and couldn't be recharged. I was struck, and opted for the iPhone 7Plus. I don't like it! I had a Samsung Note7 before the Pixel XL, and prefer the Note7. Pixel XL was growing on me. Now I'm stuck with the iPhone 7Plus. Crap!
I recently bought an iPhone 7 plus, love it. You want to know what made me buy it? All other phones are shit and they have nothing special to offer. You want to know how the pixel could beat iphone? So you have always or the bigass headphones (not meant for gaming) or the earpieces.... While there are alot of Apple fanboys and Android fanboys arguing that their phones are better. There are some people in the middle of the fight that actually like both phones.
One main reason i prefer this over the Iphone7 is that this can charge and use headphones at the same time. Also it has far more customization. I will mention that iphone is far simpler and easier to use.
Watched both comparison videos, and honestly Google Pixel seems way more convenient to me. I had an iphone 4 and iphone 5 before, which was when apple was impressive with their phones, but now they have done absolutely nothing and they are just remaking the same shit just expecting money to come their way. That's the apple brand for you. Their Laptops are also way overpriced for no good reason.
Wider angle lenses are a bad thing for selfies. The wider angle the lens the more unflattering to your facial features. That wide angle lens is also why the Pixel Plus has such a problem with lens flair--also a bad thing. And contrary to popular belief, this is a lens problem, and can’t be adequately fixed with an OS patch or upgrade. Also, no water or weather resistance on the Pixal and Pixal plus. Screen also needs to be brighter. Furthermore, texting and chat are much better experiences on an iPhone, as is sharing information between devices-tablet/phone/desktop.etc. Not to mention, iPhone has real image stabilization--which is so much better than the digital version on Pixal and Pixal plus. Dynamic range is also better on the iPhone 7, and 7plus, and the iPhone and iPhone 7plus do much better at taking pictures in low light settings. Also, android backup is far less comprehensive than iPhone backup, and requires considerably more effort-especially when you upgrade to a new phone, which is a nightmare, comparatively speaking, with the effortless process on an iPhone. But I do think that the Google Pixal is on the right track, and offers the best ANDROID experience hands down.
I have used both Android and iOS devices and while I enjoy both I always tend to yearn for more regarding iOS and go back to Android. There are a decent points on both sides but I agree that the Pixel XL has more points that simply outweigh that on the iPhone 7 plus. The same can be said for Android in any of its iterations in general over iOS though.
Even if: the unlimited full resolution storage is valid just for 4k videos. Photos on iPhone are compressed at 12mp that means no compression at all cause the camera is 12mp. Also Google support literally sucks. They put some random people that clearly knows nothing about Android or smartphones. With an iPhone you just walk in an Apple store and you are good. They ll replace the phone or they ll fix it in 20 mins.

So. . . I have always loved android and down-talked iPhone for many reasons. After many reviews, and getting my hands on the Pixel XL and iPhone 7 Plus I purchased the iPhone. I have to say I'm for once beyond impressed!
The last several days I have been ridiculed by friends for my dramatic change in opinion. The only thing I can say is it's been a wonderful experience with the exception of making ringtones. Having to link to iTunes for your ringtone that was created on the phone in the first place is redundant and all around annoying, but you do get used to it.

I picked up a pixel on launch day after returning my Note 7. Kept it for a week and returned it and went back to my Note 5. After watching the review and this video I'm strongly considering going back to get the Pixel XL again. I just like the native apps like the voice recorder and the calendar on galaxy devices. If I could have those 2 on the Pixel, I'd be happy

I’ve been an android guy for about 5 years now and recently just changed to iOS and i can say without a doubt apple has bought me over everything is so fluid and so easy to use. android has more features no doubt but i rarely ever use them when i had my samsung.

If someone were to spend the extra cash on decent earbuds or any other earbuds at all, they'll be doing it out of choice like on the iPhone or literally every single phone ever because they want a better or different sound. I am getting a new phone tomorrow (from a Nexus 6p) and I have never been so conflicted! I think you may have swayed me to stick with Android and go to a Pixel. I actually LOVE my Nexus and the only reason why I'm "upgrading" is because it's battery life has seemed a bit faulty after the last 3 months. It's camera is amazing. Everything works seamlessly but the battery is killing me!
That being said, I've seriously been thinking of finally getting an iPhone. I do have several Apple products (probably more than most iPhone users) BUT i've just never been a fan of their oS in terms of their phones. I have an iPad and their phones just always seemed like iPads that could make phone calls. However, I also don't customize THAT much on my Android to make that a selling point to stick with Android either. I NEVER use 3rd party launchers as they always seem or look generic so I usually just stick with whatever the stock one is. One thing that instantly made me 2nd guess going to an iPhone was your photo comparisons. I've seen REALLY good iPhone 7 pics BUT side by side with the Pixel there's just no comparison. The Pixel is just sharper and more detailed looking.
The headphone jack is also something that's not a must because I always listen to my music on my iPod anyway and have both bluetooth and wired headphones depending on the occasion where not having a jack wouldn't make or break it for me. BUT I do like the included usb connector concept. I think the only thing is really cosmetics as the Pixel just looks so basic. Even compared to my Nexus 6p, the Pixel looks like an old generation. Then I think, "I'm going to get a case for it any way, so does the outside of it really matter if internally it's awesome?" Ugh, I'm just so conflicted. Prior to watching your video I was all set to get an iPhone 7 plus tomorrow. NOW I'm thinking I'm gonna get a Pixel. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO! o_O

I don't understand why people care so much about speed test I mean it's only about a one second difference. I'm not going to buy a phone just because it's one second faster than another but I will buy one that lets me use two apps at once that's truly amazing

Yesterday my Google Pixel XL nearly caught FIRE while using my Verizon car charger. My Verizon store didn't have inventory for an immediate replacement. The Google phone was losing its charge, and couldn't be recharged. I was struck, and opted for the iPhone 7Plus. I don't like it! I had a Samsung Note7 before the Pixel XL, and prefer the Note7. Pixel XL was growing on me. Now I'm stuck with the iPhone 7Plus. Crap!

I recently bought an iPhone 7 plus, love it. You want to know what made me buy it? All other phones are shit and they have nothing special to offer. You want to know how the pixel could beat iphone? Really? Really? You don't know the answer? Fucking google man... They have the most important app ever, RUclips, Take that away from other phones and try to make something exclusive for your phone. there are 3 ways we use headphones daily:
1. The shitty way, with the earpieces
2. The awesome way with big ass headphones
3. and ofcourse while gaming
(4. also wireless, alot of people already have bluetooth headsets and shit)
you don't use your gaming headset when you go outside, that would look too silly, and you don't want girls to think you are a hardcore gamer and all that bullshit. So you have always or the bigass headphones (not meant for gaming) or the earpieces.... If you always use the bigass headphones, the only thing you need to do, is keep the adapter they gave you FOR FREE on the end of you big ass headset... done, and if you are someone like me who always uses the earpieces... than you have nothing to complain.
btw I applaud apple for taking the next big step in this... Even though they are just trying to make more money and lying their asses off.

One main reason i prefer this over the Iphone7 is that this can charge and use headphones at the same time. Also it has far more customization.

Watched both comparison videos, and honestly Google Pixel seems way more convenient to me. I had an iphone 4 and iphone 5 before, which was when apple was impressive with their phones, but now they have done absolutely nothing and they are just remaking the same shit just expecting money to come their way. That's the apple brand for you. Their Laptops are also way overpriced for no good reason.

Wider angle lenses are a bad thing for selfies. The wider angle the lens the more unflattering to your facial features. That wide angle lens is also why the Pixel Plus has such a problem with lens flair--also a bad thing. And contrary to popular belief, this is a lens problem, and can’t be adequately fixed with an OS patch or upgrade. Also, no water or weather resistance on the Pixal and Pixal plus. Screen also needs to be brighter.
Furthermore, texting and chat are much better experiences on an iPhone, as is sharing information between devices-tablet/phone/desktop.etc. Not to mention, iPhone has real image stabilization--which is so much better than the digital version on Pixal and Pixal plus. Dynamic range is also better on the iPhone 7, and 7plus, and the iPhone and iPhone 7plus do much better at taking pictures in low light settings. Also, android backup is far less comprehensive than iPhone backup, and requires considerably more effort-especially when you upgrade to a new phone, which is a nightmare, comparatively speaking, with the effortless process on an iPhone. But I do think that the Google Pixal is on the right track, and offers the best ANDROID experience hands down.

I have used both Android and iOS devices and while I enjoy both I always tend to yearn for more regarding iOS and go back to Android. There are a decent points on both sides but I agree that the Pixel XL has more points that simply outweigh that on the iPhone 7 plus. The same can be said for Android in any of its iterations in general over iOS though.
Even if: the unlimited full resolution storage is valid just for 4k videos. Photos on iPhone are compressed at 12mp that means no compression at all cause the camera is 12mp. Also Google support literally sucks. They put some random people that clearly knows nothing about Android or smartphones. With an iPhone you just walk in an Apple store and you are good. They ll replace the phone or they ll fix it in 20 mins.
