My granddad was a sergeant there for 30 years, and always talked about how big it was in there, but I never realized it's basically its own little city behind those big walls.
It is like a small city.
Who was your granddad. Bout a 100% chance I know him.
All I can really see is the ground pretty much thru the whole video. I would've liked to been able to see more off the buildings and other things. Your tour of this prison should of been called a tour of the prison's floors and ground.

Literally those are the only cells I know that you could sit down take a #2 wash your clothes in the sink kick your feet up on the bed and write a letter all at the same tim

Spent plenty of time visiting a loved one in that building, guards were complete A$$holes . It’s crazy cause you would think because it’s in the city the guards would be less a$$holes but we got better treatment when the moved him to the prisons hours away ( Smithfield , Coal etc )
Glad that time of our lives is over
I heard that visitors were treated like inmates at check-in…sad.

We all know someone who were sent to the Wall some never got out with life sentences.

Spent 3 yrs b4 it closed down in 2017 c block 346 riverside and did TC on A2A

Place was shut down in 2008ish then it was reopened to serve as a diagnostic center for inmates with mental problems. It shut down for good circa 2017
It actually reopened in 2006ish and remained opened well into 2015ish and closed permanently in 2017
I had a family member I visited there from 2007 ( was one of the first prisoners since the reopening ) and last visited late 2014
Place was a disaster, should’ve never reopened
Yeah I was going to say I was there in 2010 before taking the bus ride lol
Closed in 2004. Reopened June 25th 2007. Was not used as anything other than a prison however they added in 2 programs. Closed in the first few months of 2017. I was there day 1 when it reopened. Population was like 38.
Walked into F block. Ain't nobody been housed there since the 90s. Security used F as their lil department.
