Lyrics:
Yours is the only version of my desertion that I could ever subscribe to
That is all that I can do
You are a past sinner, the last winner, I'm reaping all around me
Until the last drop is behind you
But you're so cute when you're frustrated, dear
Yeah, you're so cute when you're sedated, oh dear
Sleep tight, grim rite, we have two hundred couches where you can...
Sleep tight, grim rite, we have two hundred couches where you can...
Sleep tight, grim rite, we have two hundred couches where you can
Sleep tonight,
Sleep tonight,
Sleep tonight,
Sleep tonight.
You are the only person who's completely certain there's nothing here to be into
That is all that you can do
You are a past sinner, the last winner, and everything we've come to makes you you
But you cannot safely say that while I will be away, you will not consider sadly
How you helped me to stray
And you will not reach me I am resenting a position that's past resentment and now
I can't consider, and now there is this distance, so...
Something to say,
Something to do,
Nothing to say,
There's nothing to do.

8 years after and that outro still makes me feel infinite
Song is way older than 8 years
Robert Buchner ik that, but when i first listened to it was 8 years ago
@mad hatter gotcha. I was gonna say I remember this song when it first came out like 20 years ago
The same
It’s been 10 years since I discovered this album, and I still find new things to love.
3:55 when the instruments come back and hit all together. Too nice ❤️
The outro is the epitome of indie rock music. Envolving/atmospherical surrealness. It should be illegal to go with your car and get lost with this and its finale......I'd had 20 tickets already.
+Alejandro Aguilar I've got lost so many times. Such greatness. Never have I been moved as I have with this last piece of music, well besides Funeral Canticle, but that is a religious piece. Well done Interpol.
LOVE PLAYIN THIS SONG ON ROCKBAND ITS MY JAM
It was my favorite song xD
+Cameron WestphAl The nostalgia is to fucking real haha it kinda bums me out in a way cuz i miss those days
playing the base line is so satisfying
Jeah, my too.
Same now all I can hear is the baseline 😂
The bass in this song just gives me so many orgasms. This song and Untitled. Such great bass.
Yeah me too, Carlos was a very important part of the soul of Interpol :,(

+ItsKillah! The best part!! :)

+ItsKillah! Agreed. I just went to the comment section to see if anyone else thought this.
this , the specialist and a time to be so small are the best outros
Guitar Harmony.
Such a great dreamy outro
I love this song
The Best song of interpol
This and Obstacle 1
They did not have to go this crazy wtf!🔥
Never quite understood the lyrics, in particular the 200 couches part, but damn do I love this song.
I was about to ask someone about the meaning of the lyrics, because I just can't understand what the hell is going on there. Specially with the 200 couches. XD
Yep most of Interpol lyrics are quite strange/abstract it’s all up to what the listener makes out of it
It sounds like a song about sexual assault to me.
I think he's hurting because he's seeing his ex girlfriends sleeping around a lot, and 200 to express how much is a lot actually :'D
The songs about breaking up, and then someone is saying "well you can stay here, we have 200 couches"
"resenting a position thats past resentment"
Yeah awesome
Presenting* you can hear the p
@@andyd6338 agreed
great song absolutely love the ending
Best outro ever in history
Grandiiii, PDA e ' un altro capolavoro.
I remember the first time I heard this song like it was yesterday.when i was about 11 my older brother would pick me up from my alternate school witch was basically a school for kids that had issues. He had a burned cd in my mom Chevy tracker this was my first taste into this type of genre. This is the best version of the song hands down
I miss someone...☹

@@seencapone hahaa
This song PDA: Public Display of Affection?
That's how I read it!
Bass 3
Doomers: HUMANITY SUCKS
Me:
what does PDA stand for?
Public display of affection (If i remember correctly). For me this song is about unrequited love although I may be mistaken since the lyrics are way too abstract.
Grim rite? What does that mean?
Peter Timowreef it's dream rite. He got it wrong
Hmmm… what does “dream rite” mean?
@@mdc2077 its grim rite. its referring to them having to sleep on the couch instead of the bed which is something that happens in a bad relationship
the chorus sucks , the intro n bla is amazing they shouldve put more effort in the song
Grandiiii, PDA e ' un altro capolavoro
