Love love love my Ragley Piglet.... saving madly for a Switch FS, my 12yr old daughter is waiting patiently to inherit the Piglet... take care stay safe.... keep it pinned 👍🏻
Beautiful bike. Hardtail is the best looking bike ever made. Absolutely amazing masterpiece. I had 4 hardtail so far and 1 fullsus and HT always made me smile and fly fast 👍🏻 Grate video and see you on trails 😎👍🏻
Thanks for this! I just got my Switch9er last month and love it (British Racing Green with all Silver decals)! I have the same wheelset (but Stan's hubs instead of the sweet Chris Kings), so it's good to hear you've had good success with those. I enjoy your vids and you and your son shred! I've been taking my 8 yo out with me this year and he's really getting into it as well. Hope to be doing this with him till I'm 80. Cheers!
Great video Jim. Bought my Switch9er mainly because of watching your experiences and reviews, the day I travelled up to Stanton to place my order you and Sonny were there! Only had it a few months, totally lovin it. I’d say the best hardtail I’ve owned! And I’ve had a fair few!
Good video. Been mtb'ing for donkeys' years. You've inspired me to have a bash at this hardtail 29'er enduro racing stuff. Thanks- David (aged 47 1/2).
Jim, great review of the hardtail. I love full squish, but will ALWAYS have a hardtail!! Please keep the out takes at the end a thing, nice little touch Jim. #keepitpinned
+ Pinned TV I got an Bird Aeris 145 after owning a Dartmoor Hornet 27.5 / 160 mm with monster dropouts 😂😂 and really love the Aeris 145 but for some reason i keep thinking about something like the SWITCH 9er... Great looking bike with that paintjob!
I was just about to buy a unite bash guard. But now you have mentioned there will be a new one I think I may wait. I know you can’t give important information about it but do you have any idea when they might go into production because I will be on the computer waiting to buy one when they come out!
Morning Jim.. I appreciate this is an old video now but how was the unite bash guard and chain device? Did you rate it? I'm looking for something decent to put on my new pace
Great video.. seriously considering getting one of these frames as an upgrade and moving my current components across. Do you know if it'll fit 27.5+ tyres (2.8")?
Hey Jim, I've got a Switch9er frame ordered that I'm going to build up. Do you think a 29x2.5 rear tire will work fine or do you think 2.4 is a safer bet? Thanks!
Nice video! Have you ever tried cushcore or any other kind of insert tyre in this bike? One in the real tyre could do wonders specially on those races with chunky stuff
I've just fallen in love....and I'm a road cyclist. The stock British racing green is lush. This might be the one to lure me back to off-road. Just gotta find that 2.2k!
@@PinnedTV nice one! Must say i loved the look of that hardtail! Im a big steel hardtail fan and ride a p729er as my winter bike. Really enjoying your content! Even the gravel stuff! Dont know how you manage such quality with the amount you put out! Spot on👍
Cheers, Unfortunately they don’t list it, I’m digging deep into RUclips content on a quest for dimensions aha. any chance you could measure your chain tamer?(Cheeky I know!) I wanna get the tamer pre ordered before my frame arrives! Aha It seems like it would be 70-80mm.
11:03 is it actually made by Shimano or just re branded? and what does made by shimano mean? this dropper post is a re branded dropper post, at least shimano has not developed it from ground up, but they might have some differences, and further improvements but maybe shimano manufactures it now, who knows. stravaigingmtb.com/2017/11/27/so-who-the-hell-made-this-dropper-post/
@@PinnedTV I know but post that looked like this came out before Pro had this dropper post. Tharsis is a range of products, not the company. also I don't don't have a Tharsis dropper post on their website yet. so is that something new you are testing? so far only PRO KORYAK.
Great vid Jim, liked the out takes at the end. You should make that a regular thing.
🙈🙈
Thankyou. Really enjoyed watching this, especially the riding footage. Real treat to watch so many fantastic highlights from events 👌.

Some great highlights at the end👍, wouldn't mind a hardtail at some point, had one years ago.

Thanks for this Jim. I've got the 16.5" Switch9ner (Raw) out here in Singapore. Great frame and fun to ride.

Yeh, their hardtails are nice
Nice vid jim, very much enjoying my switch 9er,
Stay well keep safe 👍

Great video, spend most of winter on my hard tail and still riding it at the moment as the FS is out of action. Flat pedals for the win 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

Fantastic mate
Great as always🤘
🙏
Great bikes, I had one of the first original Slackline 853s back in 2011 - I regret selling it every day!
Hi what size Chaintamer have you bought, iam waiting for my Switch9er to be delivered
70mm to fit Shimano 11/46
Nice one Jim!
Cheers hun!
Great video.. seriously considering getting one of these frames as an upgrade and moving my current components across. Do you know if it'll fit 27.5+ tyres (2.8")?
No mate, 2.6 max and you'll have a mahoosive wait!!
Waits aren’t to bad as frames are in stock :)
Hey Jim, I've got a Switch9er frame ordered that I'm going to build up. Do you think a 29x2.5 rear tire will work fine or do you think 2.4 is a safer bet? Thanks!
2.4 for sure, I tried 2.5 WTB and it rubbed on cornering hard
@@PinnedTV Thanks! Having trouble finding a nice 2.4 skinwall but i'll keep searching!
Top video Jim out takes at the end was good and Penmachno video bit its one place i hated but it wasn't as bad in your video keep it pinned

Paint job is still blazingly good \m/
👌
Hello Jim, what's your opinion on the ti version? Do you know if it actually gives a better ride quality?
Also how tall are you?(looking at sizing)
Never tried it, so no idea, sorry. 5' 10"
Nice video!
Have you ever tried cushcore or any other kind of insert tyre in this bike?

Just fitted in both of the hardtail tyres, vlog on it tonight!

Really don't think you can beat a good quality hardtail :)
🤘🤘
What have you got under your chaintamer Jim? I have the same issue on my P7 with the rounded chainstay as the base is flat and not rounded.
I have the curved base ones on the HT's with some soft velcro sticky underneath
Great review there Jim, love my BFe, gets far more use than my full bounce! What was the vid near the start, riding along the edge in the snow?
I think that is the world's end loop at Llandegla, but I may be wrong.
@@Deebo1985 correct 👌
Thanks for the replys guys, one for the future I think, although not in the snow, that looked terrifying!
How tall are you and what size do you ride on the Switch9er?
You said large. 16.5 or 18?
18" I'm 5 10
I'm 5'10 as well and ordered a 16.5..😬😬😬 how's the stand over? Should I switch it to the 18? Don't want to rack my boys!!!
How much did it weigh and was it good at jumping
32lbs
Fine for jumps
What bike shoes do you wear? The ones with pink and blue colours?
These are Ion Scrub AMP
Do you still ride Stanton bikes Jim, or have you moved away since introducing the ebikes to the channel?
I still rum the FS myself for bike park, but watch this space for an announcement very soon
