  • KLM launched a brand new travel cabin last year. InsideFlyer had the honor to join one of the first Premium Comfort flights. Check our earlier videos for the details. Last year we flew from Amsterdam to New York in the Boeing 787-10. This year we traveled in Premium Comfort again, but this time from Amsterdam to Los Angeles. Check out this review video and make sure to check out our in-depth article!

    Is the KLM Lounge included with the Premium Comfort ticket? If not, can I purchase entry?

      Thanks for the question! No the lounge access is not included in the Premium Comfort ticket. You can purchase entrance at the lounge desk with cash or miles (entry may be restricted during peak times).

    we flew KLM from LAM to AMS 2 months ago. Economy Premium.. we had an excellent experience. Above United Economy Premium and AirFrance Economy Premium. The 787-10 we flew made the biggest difference. Good video! we are subscribed!

      Do you think the Premium Comfort is worth an extra $1300 per person ($2600 a couple) for a 10 hour flight each way?

    • @relaxingsilentfilms-LosAngeles
      @relaxingsilentfilms-LosAngeles Год назад

      @@SK-gs8vs we paid $1600 per person for a family of 6 for March/April dates. For summer these same seats are 2500+ depending on airline. Yes, I would pay $2500 for each ticket. Anything into the $3k, I would look into a good deal on business class. Next year we are planning a trip to London, Paris and Barcelona. Tickets are not coming down in price thus far.

    I see they’re using the Collins Aerospace MiQ seats. It’s becoming a popular seat choice as AA, Delta, and United use MiQ seats for their own PE cabin.

    Mooie video! Al zou ik persoonlijk niet gauw de Premium class boeken, ik zou dan liever door sparen voor Business class.
    Het enige voordeel wat je hebt is nog iets meer beenruimte en betere stoelen t.o.v. economy class.
    Eten krijg je gewoon in plastic bakjes en is niet bijzonder terwijl het prijsverschil tussen Economy en Premium economy best fors is.

      Thanks voor je comment! Het eten en drinken is in onze ervaring wel veel beter dan Economy Class. En omdat de cabine kleiner is en geschieden van Economy (+ beter hard product) vinden wij het comfort wel een stuk beter. Maar dat is uiteraard persoonlijk ;-).

    This wasn't really so much a "review" as it was more of a commercial advertisement for KLM; cute video but you missed providing key information including check-in process, seat specifications, meal and drink options, cabin service quality, in flight entertainment options, etc. etc.

    Enjoyed the video. Flying LAX to Amsterdam in a week. Looking forward to the class of seat. Pre-ordered vegetarian meals so I hope there is no mix up. Were the headphones given out decent? If so I won’t bother bringing my own.

    Hello! This is such an amazing video. Thank you for sharing it with us!
    I would like to ask how much is the legroom do you get in premium economy? Like can a 6 feet plus size person can easily in premium economy seats? we are travelling from Toronto to Amsterdam and this would be our first time travelling in premium economy with KLM. Also, i would like to know where do you plug in the headphones? like I don't see any such thing in the video. Thank you :)

    • @InsideFlyerOfficial
      @InsideFlyerOfficial  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks for your question! And good to know you enjoy our videos! It’s a bit hard to really evaluate if the seat is comfortable for you as everyone has different preferences.
      The Premium Comfort seat width is 18.5 inch, seat pitch is 38 inch and recline is 8 inch. Our blogger on this trip is 6’4”, with a regular build.

    Can anyone tell me if the Premium Comfort is worth an extra $1300 per person ($2600 a couple) for a ten hour flight each way?

    • @InsideFlyerOfficial
      @InsideFlyerOfficial  Год назад

      Personally, I think it’s definitely worth paying extra for Premium Comfort. But how much, is depends by person of course. The amounts you mention seem on the high side to me. But when demand is high C will also be expensive.

    Thanks for the great video! I'm flying in the same seats (Row 15) in August. Was the recline restricted at all because of the bulkhead behind it? That is my only concern, otherwise the new Premium Comfort seats look terrific.

  • @diegoyuiop
    @diegoyuiop Год назад +1

    Thanks for the video! In your opinion, is it better to take the last row seat as you did or the first one? I think you'd have more space in the first row but I don't know if they let you keep the small bag in front of you

    • @InsideFlyerOfficial
      @InsideFlyerOfficial  Год назад +1

      You’re welcome! For the front row seats it’s not allowed to store bags in from of you during taxiing, takeoff and landing. The legroom for the front row may be bigger, but you cannot put your feet under the seat in front of you, as there isn’t any. So, we would recommend the last row.

    The trendy fashionable people have taken over airplane food. I fly First and Business most of the time.......and man I just wish they'd have a nice cold simple deli sandwich. I am looking to go to Premium Economy and equivalent now because I just dont care for the 'fancy' food. I'd rather save money, still have somewhat of a comfortable seat, eat fruit and cheese on the flight and go on more trips. I can eat delicious food every day when I'm not flying. Oh well. No more hot towel lol.

    We had a horrible experience with KLM this summer. We booked Premium comfort Calgary to Amsterdam but when we got to the airport the plane did not have this class of seat. We were downgraded to economy comfort, KLM won't give us back the money we paid for the Premium seats, in fact they say that economy comfort is "similar" so that's that. Disgusting service.

    • @InsideFlyerOfficial
      @InsideFlyerOfficial  Год назад +1

      Thanks for sharing your experience! That’s too bad to hear. Premium Comfort and Economy Comfort are not similar at all. We recommend filing an official complaint with KLM Customer Service (online or call) to get some kind of compensation.
