Happy to see another post from you! First time commenter but long time viewer of your videos. I’m always really inspired by how much you fit on your balcony. I’ve especially enjoyed your videos about flower bulbs on the balcony. I’m also gardening on a balcony in Germany. I’ve got a real love for flowers and find it hard to give up space for veg - with the exception of tomatoes as I love the smell! My new challenge for this year is dahlia tubers.
Hi Auj, thank you so much for your comment and support! And always nice to have contact with a fellow balcony gardener, in germany too 😄 it is difficult deciding what to grow in a small space, I would always grow for beings you the most amount of happiness 😊 good luck with the dahlias, they sound fab 💐
Thank you very much for your new video. Very clear plan! I also grow plants in containers, not on balcony, but in my little garden, 5mx7m. At the moments I prefer flowers and already have tulips, hyacinths, daffodils. Very nice to have your videos again.
This is my first year growing an all balcony container garden I’m not new to gardening but my small space is new to me and so much fun. I’m growing alot of variety of vegetables with flowers for pollinators I’m in Texas! Your garden is just lovely ❤
Hi Renee, so exciting for you to start a new gardening experience! I love that you're growing flowers for the pollinators too, it will fill your space with life. I wish all the best with your new container garden! 🌱💚💐
Ich bin so froh dass ich deinen Kanal gefunden habe 😃, ich bin in der Nähe und endlich habe ich jemanden der gleiche Umstände wie ich habe 💪🏻, and deren Erfahrungen ich nützen kann 🥰
Hello, I'm very new to gardening and I've been reading gardening basics for dummies. But this video actually gave me a good idea of what I need as my space is very limited in my balcony. I'm for sure gonna come back to you for advice when I'm feeling overwhelmed. Nice job 👍🏼
I hope you will go far. Patience is very important for success. Never get discouraged no matter how bad the weather is or how low the views are. He/she was disappointed and failed. Continue the video,You never know when success will come. One day you will gain 100k's silver Play button. Love remains ❤️🇧🇩😢🎉
You are my hero! Thank you for your beautiful videos. as I need to learn how to do this. I no longer have the energy for a huge project, but I do feel very inspired to create a container garden on my back stone wall area that has a large flat, 2-ft-wide gravel shelf-top, and backsplash of earth and flowers and grasses. Fun. I began with my 7 hyacinths.
Hi Claire, so happy you find the videos useful! There are so many pros to having a container garden and I think it's great you're starting your own. Your initial ideas sounds fab 😄 I wish you lots of joy and success in your new growing space! 🌱🎉
@@balconiagarden Everything is growing well, and it feels so great: I now have a resident mouse hanging about, a robin, and a wee frog enjoying the sweet little pond I made from a shallow tub with rocks and sticks in it, so no one drowns, and I saw the robin take a bath in it! Nature loves water. Also I made a lot of small pots of sunflowers and sweet pea with a chia seed "ground cover," ha!
Thank you for being incredibly informative. I have taken your word into consideration in my pot garden this year, and it is turning out better and better. Truly I couldn't thank you enough for also taking our gardens into consideration as you do yours. I am so excited haha. Hope you can find some joy in todays Eclipse and have a great day as well!!!
That makes me so happy and proud to hear that, Josh 😄 I actually always try to include information that I wanted to know when I first started gardening, I always thought that if I had these questions then so would other container gardeners. Glad to be a part of your gardening journey! 💚🌱
@@balconiagarden Well thank you for including such information needed and your knowledge for container gardening. Glad to see the shine as always in your wonderful balconia garden!
What a beautiful video and garden! I post mostly about thrifting and styling but I just filmed a gardening video that I will post soon that I’m really excited about! Thank you for the inspiration. Love your channel definitely subscribing
Thank you so much for your lovely comment 😀 and how exciting that you've filmed your first video! I wish you lots of success and fun gardening times 💚🌱
I use multi purpose compost as the main medium component, and then I buy an organic compost to mix in. A few times I was lucky enough to be given leaf mould and true compost from a friend and so I've used both of them too. I really noticed a positive difference in the plant growth when I used those two mediums. Hope that helps 😊
My twelve foot by four foot third floor garden will have zero vegetables. I use real colorful foiliage including many shade of green. Pollinators may or may not come here so I add my own color.to be sure. Artificial flowers in mixed colors work well. My main containers are eight gallons so perriniials survive the winter. Tender plants can easily be brought in and treated as house plants. I have room. Chickweed is used in most of my containers and behaves in so many different ways. Lastly keep everything watered well into October and beyound.
Hi Charles, thank you for your lovely message, so many interesting things happening in your garden. It sounds like paradise 😍 love that you grow such an array of plants and are able to bring the tender ones inside, that's one the benefit of container gardening! Chickweed, sounds fab, especially since many view it as a weed. I've also come around to artificial plants in recent years since they're so life-like and it means you can fill the no-grow spaces with colour and foliage. I wish you all the best in your gardening endeavours! 😍

What is organic matter that you top off with? Is multi-purpose compost Potting Soil or true compost?

Your carrots look so cute and yummy what variety are you growing?
They were so cute and delicious 😋 the variety is Adelaide, a true baby carrot which is perfect for growing in pots. Can recommend!
