Well for the history, Chan was in the group at that time but in another one too. He participed to a show staring a lot of people from other groups too and Chan win the show and end up in the final group who was called UNB (a temporary group) and promoted with them for a year. A.C.E continued to release songs as OT4 and recently they did the Under Cover comeback with Chan as OT5! Hope i explained well (english is not my birth language) and i enjoy your reactions, keep going dude! (pls react to Nu'est W, i know you liked Bet bet and you'll like it too!!)
Okay so here it goes; (please correct me if I get anything wrong) They used to be 5 different trainees from different companies, at some point all of them joined this agency called Beat Interactive. While beeing trainees on Beat they became a street cover group, they used to upload vids of them dancing/singing in the middle of hongdae (you can easily look up for "A.C.E busking" on RUclips and you'll find tons of videos of them dancing in public (and also there you can see how much of great dancers they are, like, seriously good dancers.)) After sometime they finally got to debut ot5 together with a single called "Cactus", which didn't got a lot of recognition, so after their debut they made a comeback with another single called "Callin'", which also didn't got a lot of attention. Two of the members, Jun and Chan, decided to go to this program called "The Unit", a program made just to create a temporary group formed with idols, who have debuted but aren't really famous, in order to make their groups get more noticed. Well, Chan managed to get into the final and got to debut with this group, which was called UNB, he promoted with them for a year and when the contract ended he came back with A.C.E. During this period A.C.E made a comeback with this song "Take Me Higher" and thats why there are only 4 members (and also with this cb they released their first mini album👏). When Chan cameback a few months ago they did a world tour and after that they released their latest comeback "Under cover" with all the 5 members (and they also released another mini album👏). So yeah basically that's their whole history, I hope everyone who read this have decided to get to know them even more and to start staning them, I promise you that that's the best CHOICE you could ever make 💜 (sorry for my English I'm not really good at it) [If you are interested in their predebut videos I highly recommend you to react to their "Zombie dance" video in Hongdae, that dance is 🔥🔥🔥 ]

Some of them went on the Unit (a show similar to Produce 101) and Chan was chosen as part of the winning team. So Chan promoted with UNB for 18 months then came back to A.C.E once they disbanded.
