    How have the QSC L Class LA 108's treated you so far? Still happy with them, would you buy again? Also, what is the largest audience you provided sound for? Any outdoor festivals?

    Great job! Just one question. i think those are the KS 118s. Why didnt you set them up in cardioid configuration?

  • @DanielMustang47
    @DanielMustang47 3 месяца назад

    Put those KS118s close together! low frequency speakers should be side by side (or in some configuration where they're in contact, you could do cardioid mode too) to have the best effect!

    Great video. I'm curious what the rough room dimensions were? And the power configuration; what size and quantity power circuits you were using to power both the LA108s and the subwoofers? And if you have any info on power draw? I'm looking at this exact setup on a similarly sized venue.

    Very informative series of videos but it would be nice if the iPad screen was more in view. It's just a black square in this video and I know things are happening there!

    My only beef with the new Line Arrays is... You're limited to 6 boxes per side. I don't understand for the life of me why QSC did that. :( RCF, and JBL's new system can stack 16 per side

    • @dantonliam
      @dantonliam Год назад +1

      Cost. They are aiming for a specific client. That client does need that many units

    • @shanakatennekoon3100
      @shanakatennekoon3100 Год назад +1

      there not trying to compete with the RCF JBL market1 there looking at the corporate space where 6 per side is hardly needed!!! that been said JBL SRX Series is absolutely Killer for the same price range

    • @notsure984
      @notsure984 5 месяцев назад +1

      Their is only one high and one low range driver in each box. If you are trying to go for 16 boxes you are going to want some Meyer sound for that job. Gonna need two low range and a center loaded high range for those systems. I bet you could just fly two sets of six or fly a set of six and below sub stack another 3 or 4 and have a few subs to compliment the sub stacked array. That's how I would do it. I already thought about what if you want use these for a bigger crowd and I think that is a good way to get dam close. But if flying high and 16 boxes is a must than I'm thinking your serious enough to get a Leopard or a Panther system. Meyer Is the Best. I really really like this product though. So much so that I would probably adapt my stage design to do so. I wonder if the software is configured for adapting to lines of six next to each other? I would work with you to come up with a creative way to apply this series to your application and I don't even work for QSC. It's just really neat what they have done. It was the KS118's port design and the birch construction that brought me to look at the new products this time. Birch means bass. Good deep quality Bass.

    How much is that rig? I love the easy setup and the lift that is sick.

    • @DanielMustang47
      @DanielMustang47 3 месяца назад

      Like $16k per 5 speakers and lift. so each array with the lift is $35k with tax. Then the 4 subs are $8k before tax and the mixer is about $6500 if it's the model I think it is. Dope setup for sure

      @@pneumasax like I said in my comment above, I flubbed the price of the mixer, which is a QSC Touchmix-30. Probably $2500 after tax abouts

    How can you tell about the coverage being even from front to back in a room with smooth reflective concrete floors and and no sound absorption or sound diffusion on the walls. That's not a good test!

    IT's always scary to me when I hear people say "it sounds clean". As a sound engineer that is picky with sound.. I want it to sound FLAT. Midrange is where everything lives. Something "clean" often times people refer to as "sounds bright(highs boost) and punchy(lows boost)" .. which is not wat I'd pay for in a pro linearrays. I guess I'm gonna have to wait to hear it in person.

    • @ProDrummer
      @ProDrummer Год назад +1

      Absolutely agree. FLAT! Not CLEAN!

    • @divinechords6695
      @divinechords6695 3 месяца назад

      Theoretically nothing is perfectly flat straight out of the box... You just have to implement some professional tuning skill to get that flat frequency response you are aiming for ... And its a headache and it will be almost to achieve flat sound all around every spot in the room

    set up time takes, when using this bag solution, hours. one flightcase, containig a pre fixed stack of four boxes is mandatory. this rigging system doesnt supportthis way of set up. a bag isnt very usefull in a truck, when you have cases with lighting and cabeling.
    compare this system to a coda audio aps system!! :)
